Room for Rent and other rental scams

This LONDON APARTMENT LETS LIMITED website has good looking apartments at reasonable prices ( for London ) and the company is well registered at Companies House BUT when you ask for more infos they strangely send you a message equivalent to another site, already listed here as potential scam ( Mayfair Short Lets ), AND they NEVER answer when you call them to the tel number listed on their site. And several emails asking them why they don't answer or even if they can be contacted on another number had NO answer.
My feeling is that it's a scam site, may be yes, may be not, but strongly beware anyway as it smells fishy.

Mod Note: As posted below, LONDON APARTMENT LETS LIMITED are a legitimate company and not involved in this scam. The scammers have stolen their identity and created a fake website as part of their scam.

LONDON APARTMENT LETS Ltd IS A LEGITIMATE COMPANY with this web address:
[Removed - AJ]
http://wck2.companieshouse.gov.uk//compdetails

Buy putting London Apartment lets as the header rather than their domain name you draw attention to a legitimate company and not the scammers

The domain name you mention is a scam:
http://www.london-short-let-apartments.co.uk

They have now changed their domain name to:
http://www.london-apartments-rental.uk

They change their domain name and carry on scamming. Their website has copied data from many different websites. They have copied London Apartment Lets (with a slight variation The London Apartment Lets) name, company registration number of office registration address. Their properties are a mixture taken from different Estate agents' websites.

If you have been effected by them in any way, report. Keep reporting

This is the worst situation I ever faced. I’d made a resevation via this website as well (www.london-apartments-rental.uk) and made a payment on July 11, 2018. She said she wait for the landlord reply for the new key code and apologized for the delayed. I waste my money for 812 GBP (201 Baker Street). As you mention about their website was looking good, believable, reply client faster. However, after they stole my money, they disappear until NOW ( July 28, 2018 ). No phone call, no email.

I just want to know IF I go to police station, they might help me or NOT. I think we should call it’s a crime because this kind of people always keeping fraudulent others.
