Thanks for the interest you have in my flat. My flat is still available for rent and you can rent my flat as long as you pay your rent at when due. Here are the necessary things you need to know about the rent and deposit.

Rent : £ 130.00 pw
Security Deposit: £ 400.00 (returnable at the end of a month stay in my flat)
Utility bills inclusive ( water, gas, council tax, TV license, wireless Internet) Utility Cost : £ 0.00 pcm

However, my flat is fully furnished in and out with all necessary house use. At this stage that you want to rent my flat, i need to know some few question about you. Can you take care of my flat as it is? How many months / weeks do you intend to rent my flat for? Do you have references in London?

Kindly reply for further information and i would like to know which city/country you are coming from to stay in my flat.

Regards

Mrs Clarkson

The thief will tell you that you can rent his accommodation only if you can prove that you have genuine interest. He will ask you send money by wire transfer (normally Western Union) to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".

Another variation of this scam is that you need to send (by Western Union) money in order that the keys and other documents can be couriered to you

He will ask you to send him the transfer details.

Make no mistake ! Western Union Transfers can be picked up virtually anywhere in the world and with the minimum of identification. They are almost impossible to trace once the money has been collected. You will never get to see the accommodation or your money again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

Hi
This 'woman' has upped her game, she asks you to send the huge amount to a friend or relative (of your own) and send 'her' the scan of the western union transfer. "To confirm you have the money". I assume this is to gather the relative information to use your bank account.

Everybody beware!

She offers cheaper accommodation for the area, I know 'she' works in Leicester and London.

Anyway after getting suspicious I googled her email address and found this post ... So thank you OP.

This is the name they work under:

Hi hopelieshiden.
As Michelle stated,
He will ask you send money by wire transfer (normally Western Union) to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".

This is to get the details from the receipt in order to collect the money. It doesn't matter who he is. With the details from the receipt he will go to the Western Union outlet and collect the money.

Surely you would make sure the family member you sent it to would go and collect it before he even got there?
I was immediately suspicious when it involved bank transfers, and wouldn't have done that anyway. I think because i don't understand how western union banking works I am missing the point lol.

also if it useful to you.

they have another email address cl*****@hotmail.com I'm working on what the ****'s are
also they have a registered phone number: ********44 again I'll do my best to find the rest.

Thanks for posting this. I am looking for a place and got a number of replies from amazing properties in the newcastle area. Using the adage, "To Good To Be True" i came across your site regarding almeda Clarkson.

THe other trigger for me was the similarity in the emails from the replies and the quality of english!

Anyway, other names which i have been "spammed" by.

Almeda Clarkson
Edward Wilson
Maria Scott
Christiana Jones

"Edward" even sent me a picture of a lovely couple!

Once again, thanks for the warning! Damn, those photos looked good tho!
