It was an ad for a flat in Austria, Dornbirn "Kontaktanfrage Schöne, geräumige 2 Zimmer Wohnung in Dornbirn" - which was actually a fake. This is what she (= Claudia Teodora Quintini) wrote:

Thank you for your interest my name is Teodora Quintini . I work as chef (cook) on Carnival Triumph (Destiny-class cruise) at the moment ,I have limited time to surf the internet and also phone calls are strictly limited due to nature of my work.
The apartment is new renovated , furnished and fully equipped .
Utility cost are included in rent price ( water, gas, heating ,electricity).
The rent is 610 Euro/ Month . The security deposit is 1200 Euro, and you get it back when you decide to leave the apartment (you will have to give me at least 30 days notice).
I would like to know few things about you of course, like if you have a job or not and how will you pay the rent and if the deposit is a problem for you because the apartment is free and you can move in right away.

After I gave her some information about me she wrote following:

I got this job contract on 15 th July . They requested me to go on board for some training . After training ends ,they will go offshore for the next few months . I will be available for a meeting at the end of November
I apologize for this inconvenient , I didn't know this will move that fast .
We can arrange something any time .
I prearranged with TripAdvisor Management to make all the necessary arrangements ,so my presence isn’t necessary.The keys and all papers needed are in their possession .
Only once the reservation is completed, an agent can be appointed to handle the visit and inspection . In this way you have the chance to inspect it before you rent .
You will be instructed to deposit 1810 Euro( 1 month/rent + kaution) in their account . The transaction is registered with Payment Protection see link ( https://www.tripadvisor.com/pages/payme ... neral.html ) .
I will need from you the following details :
-complete info (name ,address and contact details).
-move-in date and duration of lease preferred (e.g. with option of renewal).

When I was questioning about the pay something before seeing somethin thing she wrote:
"I will explain how things should work :
I will provide your details at the agency for registration and for providing you the invoice .
The invoice require you to deposit the money to their financial account . This is as insurance during the inspection . Only after the reservation is complete , they can send an agent to bring you the keys and to assist .
I will be able to send you the lase agreement and the quittung for this transaction .

The insured amount for this situation is 1810Euro . Because this is only a booking confirmation the cancellation is 100% free . This mean in any time you get all the money back without a risk .
When you make the confirmation you can schedule when you are available to take the keys and the inspection .
After inspection ends all you have to do is to sign the lease agreement , and give you agreement to complete the process . In this time the agency with your agreement will release the money to my personal account .
They will represent the first month of stay and safety deposit which will be refunded when the contract ends .
