Subject: EMAIL TO PROCEED

You will need to make the transfer of the deposit to someone close to you living in London making the name of that person close to you as the sender of the funds while you make use of your own name as the receiver i.e (Raveena Gore) of the funds so that i can be sure you have the money and you are capable and serious of renting or viewing or flat.If you are okay with our property after viewing it then we can both walk down to the nearest western union office to receive the funds and proceed for payment and sign contract.

Because i have had several cases like, Having a deal for viewing and fail to turn up is either they cannot afford the rent or the security deposit been required and also I had a bitter experience recently in the hands of one so-called interested candidate who made me come up to London claiming he was interested in our property and on getting to the London,I waited for him at the meeting spot and the idiot ended up wasting my precious time and money coming up to London only for him to call me later on that he was sorry and that he will not be able to rent my flat anymore because the person he was expecting money from disappointed him so i have resolved that anybody interested in my flat must show signs of seriousness by transferring the refundable security deposit of £1000 to someone close to him or her living in United Kingdom before i travel up to London for flat viewing and reserve the property for such person.

At the moment am still trying to recover from the bitter experience i had recently in the hands of that man.

Do get back to me with the evidence that you have made the deposit by scanning a copy of Western Union receipt with the full transfer details or simply send the details via email just in case you do not have access to a scanner so that i can confirm that the deposit has been truly made by you.

Then we can fix time and where to meet in London and proceed for flat viewing and sign all necessary documents.

You don't need to be worried about the transfer charges, I will personally refund it back to you,I'm doing this just to make sure everything is perfect before securing the room for you and travel up to London as i don't want any bitter experience again regarding to our flat.

Let me know if you are okay with this arrangement so that we can proceed.

Regards,

Rachel and Andrew

The thief will tell you that you can rent his accommodation only if you can prove that you have genuine interest. He will ask you send money by wire transfer (normally Western Union) to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".

Another variation of this scam is that you need to send (by Western Union) money in order that the keys and other documents can be couriered to you

He will ask you to send him the transfer details.

Make no mistake ! Western Union Transfers can be picked up virtually anywhere in the world and with the minimum of identification. They are almost impossible to trace once the money has been collected. You will never get to see the accommodation or your money again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
