This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

All the details such as names, addresses, pictures etc. that the scammer uses in order to back up his story, are stolen from elsewhere.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

Thanks for your email and interest along with quality answers, I will be willing to rent my apartment only if you can assure me you can take very good care of my apartment as I leave the apartment for a long term. I own the apartment myself and You will notice the price is very affordable and this is due to the fact that I do not make use of agents, I got tired of their charges which I believe they are unfavorable in some situations. I'm certain i won't have any regrets having you as my tenant I currently work and live Bremen, Which is the main reason why i want to let the house out since it would be of no use to me and my family for a long period of time. Whenever we need to arrange meeting plans ahead i would need to take a day off from work in order to come down to show you my apartment, Those I've invited have turned out to be time wasters i don't want such things to repeat itself again that's why i have to be sure of your readiness and capabilities that you really want to rent my house. I will not want a situation whereby my coming will be on futile exercise that's why I want to be sure because I have had many experience from tenants. I have had several cases of people recently were we have a deal for viewing and fail to turn up and making me look like a fool at fixed meeting place the last was a woman from France who just left me waiting at the airport and also some getting to view and messing up by telling me they have no money yet to pay for the rent. I have consulted my solicitor and we have resolved that any potential tenants should be able to prove in the following way in order to determine who is financially buoyant and that he or she can stick to appointment when scheduled and able to pay his/her rent as at when due i hope you understand.

House amenities: Flat-screen TV, High- speed Internet with WiFi, Washing Machine, Dryer,Heating iron and Ironing board.

Kitchen amenities: Electric Kettle,Toaster,Dishwasher,Refrigerator, Microwave, Fully Equipped open Kitchen with latest utensils and Secured building.

Status: Available now

Looking forward to your positive response cheers :)

Regards,

Garren Ehren.

Good day to make meeting plans without failure, I will like you to make a transfer of the rent which is 550€ plus refundable damage deposit of 500€ the Total is 1050€ via Western Union using YOUR NAME as the RECEIVER of the money while you use the name of your Partner or Relative as the SENDER of the money with a proof of the receipt that you have successfully done the transfer as you are yet to view the apartment. After the viewing if you are ok with the house, We can go to any nearest Western Union and collect the money and you pay me in person same day. I do not want you to have the feeling that i am asking for money BEFORE you see what you are renting because i know that payment is meant to be done after you have seen the house and okay with it that is why i said you should make the transfer to yourself so that you will be the one to receive the money and pay me in person after the viewing. Please note that any money sent by your Partner or Relative can as well be picked back by your self after it has been confirmed on the internet website of Western Union that it is available for you. And i will let you know that i will return back to you the full transfer charges whether you decide to rent the flat or not when we meet as soon as the deposit is available and can be verified i would have my attorney forward you a legal lease contract form between us.

This is how the transfer process would be you're to locate any local office or outlet of WU :

Sender's name:- A Partner or Relative's Name Or Someone
You Can Trust And Confide In.
Sender's Address:- Their Address
Receiver's name:- Your Name
Receiver's address:-

By doing this your money is 100% safe since you would be the only eligible to receive it.

Once the transfer is within Germany, you will only need to send me the receipt of the transfer as proof so i can have it forwarded to my lawyer to make a check if truly the money is there in the Western Union website internet.

Thank you so much for understanding and i really look forward to meeting you because i am sure you would love it here :) Please Try to understand this it was due to last experience i hate disappointments i would forward you a contract form also i can't just bank on words anymore i really need to see proof that you are financially buoyant and capable of staying in my apartment.

Regards,

Garren Ehren.
