Thanks for the reply, Regarding to your question , its possible for
you to come for the viewing. However, i can make a perfect reservation
for you as i am giving you 100% guarantee as the flat is still
available. Yet some prospective tenants do not have the money to pay
the rent and they disturb the landlord to arrange a viewing, so i
wouldn't like such to happen again.

More so, i have 2 other interested candidates that just provided their
details for the tenancy agreement and also willing to make an advance
deposit to secure the flat but i declined because they have a big
family with children, 3 cats and dogs.

Nevertheless, i will appreciate if you would be able to get the
security deposit transferred now via online banking or locate the
bank. Upon verification of payment, we proceed immediately with the
viewing. We can proceed with the viewing Saturday at 12:30pm or at
your convenient time

Please let me know if you are willing to proceed with the payment so
that i can provide to you the bank account details. You will pay the
rent after the viewing and note that making a deposit doesn't mean you
must rent my flat after the viewing, if you decide not to proceed with
the rent, then i will refund the deposit immediately without any
deduction.

Hope to read from you soon.

Regards

FYI - This person is still at it. I replied to their advert on gumtree, and they were asking me to sign a tenancy agreement before I had even viewed the house.

Hi there

I just joined as I had a good to be true offer from Zara, so I googled her just now before relying to her. Sadly, she is a con and I am surprised how often she got away with it from what what I can see here. So how does one deal with this?

I just joined this just to say that I received the same email! She replied to my add, sent me pictures and a picture of her passport. She wants to send the deposit to her solicitors bank today before even viewing the house. Gave me some story about how she's moved to Bristol etc I did say how it was odd she would ask for a deposit first before even viewing and she said she has two other people interested and would like to ensure I'm serious as she's been messed about etc I was literally going to pay the deposit!! I started googling the address to find out when it was last sold and the pictures looked different from the pictures she sent me so I googled her name and came across this! What can I do about this?

Hi,

i have a lovely four (4) bedroom house for rent, the house is clean
and it has a
washing machine, microwave, kettle, fridge/freezer, table and all other
kitchen utensils.

The house is located at Dyne Road, London, NW6 7DS
. I
took the pictures 11 days ago so they reflects the most current condition
of the house. Here are the necessary things you need to know about the rent
and deposit.

Rent per month is £1500

Security deposit of £1500 protected by the Tenancy Deposit Protection Scheme
and it's refundable after the end of your stay in my house.

Utility { water, gas, council tax, TV license, wi-fi and a secured parking
space }.

However, do you have references? The house is clean so i am looking for a
responsible tenant. I am reliable and open, if anything is wrong in the
house, i make sure the problem is quickly rectified. The house is furnished
but i can make it unfurnished or part furnished if prefer.

I look forward to hearing from you soon.

Regards

^^^^ wow that is literally word for word the exact same email she sent me! Different house but same message. I replied to her stating I knew she was a scammer and if she was going to try scam people at least be educated enough to make it believable (I asked for her solicitors details and stated I couldn't find his name registered and to practice law he is required to be registered, she said he is private so couldn't give his details  ) she replied with "smh".... What a douche bag

Welcome to Scamwarners.
Our advice is to break off contact, and not tell them you know it's a scam. And it's not a good idea to point out their mistakes or poor English. Why teach them how to be more convincing scammers?

by Amic Tue Sep 03, 2019 9:26 am
Because she was still trying to convince me it was legit and blatantly lying.
Someone who uses such poor English isn't going to exactly be able to use perfect grammar overnight. Especially someone who uses the term "smh".
Maybe it will deter her from trying to scam anyone else, as well as reporting her to gumtree and action fraud (as I did) as opposed to sitting back and doing nothing and letting her do it to more people.
