Hello and thank you for your message. Sorry for the late reply and nice to
meet you.

About me:
- my name is Nicole i am italian/swedish and I have an 1 year old son
Carlo, my mother (Karina) is the legal owner of the apartment.
- at this moment we live in Italy at my fathers farm, in Riccione region.

The apartment:
- here you can find more pictures: https://imgur.com/a/zNCea31
- can be rented furnished, unfurnished or partially furnished (you decide
what you use when you make the inspection);
- can be reserved for you, if you have 2-3 months notice on your current
landlord, as long as we meet and sing a contract, the rent will be
calculated from the day you move in not from the day we sign the contract;
- can be rented for any period (min 3 months and up to 10 years) as I
moved to Italy to raise my 1 year old son with the help of my parents.

Utilities and rent:
- the rent will be paid monthly in my bank account;
- all utilities except parking, tv+internet are included.

Personal inspection of the apartment and rental contract:
On January 20, we had set up 3 meetings with 3 different people for the
apartment inspection. Unfortunately, 2 of those who were supposed to come
did not respond to my messages after they showed me guarantees and
recommendations, and the third person after inspecting the apartment
decided that it was too large for one person and that it was my obligation
to find him a room mate, and of course I declined his offer. Before
setting a date for our meeting, I must see that you that you are
financially capable to pay a monthly rent.

For this reason you have to do the following:
- ask a relative or a friend to go to the nearest Money Gram location
(money gram is an international money transfer service) with his/her ID
card and cash money and use the money gram service for family and friends
(called: 10 Minute service) to send 1950 EURO (representing the first 2
months of rent + 1 month kaution) from his name to your name and your
current address from germany. After the transfer is ready, you will
receive a receipt with the transfer details. You send me a copy of that
receipt, I see the money are sent to your name and we set up the meeting.
After you inspect the apartment in person, we go to the nearest Money gram
location you pick-up the money with your ID, we sign the contract and I
hand you the keys.

PLEASE NOTE:
- this condition MUST be met BEFORE we set a meeting to show you the
apartment;
- recommendations, Schufa/Bank statements and locked accounts that show
that you have money locked in some account, are NOT acceptable because
funds can't be verified online or that the money are meant to be used for
the rent.
- I have asked the same thing from the persons who I was suppose to met
with on January 20 because I wanted to clear any doubt about our intention
to come to the meeting, I asked my mother to do the same, and she sent the
same amount from her name to mine, 2 days before that meeting. I can give
you a copy of the receipt, you can check your transfer data;
- I can also give you a copy of my mother's Personalausweis (registered on
the apartment address) to see that she is the legal owner of the
apartment;

I certainly do not say that you can not be trusted, you are my number one
option by far, but this time I want to be sure that we have found someone
with serious intentions. If you are not familiar with money gram services,
I can give you more information and find the nearest office from where you
leave now, I just need your postal code.

Thank you, Nicole Quario

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

All the details such as names, addresses, pictures etc. that the scammer uses in order to back up his story, are stolen from elsewhere.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
