Dear Rebekah,
Thanks for your mail. After going through your email, my wife and i have finally concluded to rent the House to you .
The deposit payment fee is $650 and the rent is $800,which totals $1,450 please again take care of the house so that we will be glad when we come back.

We strongly believe that you are a respectable and responsible person,we are sure you would be able to take great care of our apartment.
There is also a parking space available,we are giving you this on trust so please do not disappoint us and we
promise you that you will love the house and the peaceful serene environment.
below are the terms i will be sending via UPS to you,as soon as you inform us that you have deposited the funds,

1) Entrance and the rooms Keys
2) Paper/Permanent house form (Containing your reference details)
3) Agreement Form which you would sign and send back to me.
4) The House Documentary file.
5) Payment Receipt.
6) Full address and description of the house
7) Authorization Letter
8) Lease Agreement
Here is my phone number 814-817-5641,i will like to speak with you before you make the deposit.
The funds should be deposited with Western Union.I understand you will be weary about making a deposit on an apartment which you have not seen, but as i stated in my previous email, you will not be able to gain entrance into the apartment since the keys are here with me, i hope you understand that i can not send out the keys to my apartment without at least confirming a deposit.
Therefore to make you feel relaxed and safe, here is way to go about it.
Please note at Western Union, there is a Security Test Question and Answer(this is like a password),without which funds can not be paid out by western union to the reciever, make the deposit with your own Test Question and Answer(something secret only you know) which you would not release to us until you receive the house keys and documents.
All you need to send to me is the MTCN(this is the money tracking number)Number so i can confirm from Western Union that the said amount is available, this is just to confirm that you can pay the deposit, and after you receive the Keys and Documents, you would release the Security Test Question and Answer so that i can receive the funds.

The details to deposit the funds are found below:

RECEIVER'S NAME: Dr.Raymond Grant
ADDRESS: 3020 Childrens Way San Diego, CA 92123
DEPOSIT AMOUNT:$1,450.00

If on the other hand you do not like the apartment you just send back my keys via UPS (since i will be paying for a 2 way delivery,i have an account with them), and go to western union and get your refund.

Until you get the keys,i will be unable to get your money, that way your money will be safe, and it will be like it never left your hands.

I strongly believe this is a more reliable and trust worthy way to conclude this transaction.
Once again,Please make sure you call me before you go ahead to make the deposit, here is my phone number : 814-817-5641

Thank you for your understanding and God bless you.

Hope to hear from you asap.

God Bless you richly,
Dr. Raymond Grant .

Welcome to ScamWarners hbickham and thank you for posting this information. Sadly scammers are using rental postings as a way to trap their victims. Your posts will help someone not become a victim.

Just got the exact same email from Dr. Raymond.

To my surprise, this guy may also be using the alias Rev. Chuck Brod. (same posting dates, response time, and email application, verbiage, etc) as another version of his scam.

I received an email the other day in regards to a apartment in NY from "Chuck Brod" at [email protected]. I've very aware of scams and so I googled the name Chuck Brod and found a FB account for someone name Chuck Brod who says on his "wall" that someone has been using his identity and not to fall for the scam. I'm also suspicious that the FB account is fake too. It is a ploy to get people to send him messages from your FB account so he can hack you? BEWARE!!!

Below is the original CL posting and the email he sent me on April 17, 2011 :

Definitely a scam. Scammers do impersonate real people, and I can see no reason for one to post a scam warning on a FB wall. So I think the FB account is genuine.
