Para: Michelle Banks

Hello,
Thanks for your email,i understand what you are trying to say
ok,once again Thanks for your mail, I don't say you should send money
to me before you view my flat and i will never ask you to provide your
bank statement or your payment slip cause it is illegally used
sometime,i was only trying to secure my flat and my new job.but to let
you know that i am not so much interested in your money and you can
view the flat you go to any western union near you and you make the
transfer of the deposit and a month rent by using your name as the
sender's name and also your Friend name as the receiver's name so you
will only have access to your money. so what i only need from you is
the western union Transfer scanned copy Receipt given to you after
making the transfer so that i can be able to view the receipt and also
had to to call the associations that you have really shown your
capability in the flat, then i can invite you for the viewing and also
schedule my self for the viewing, then after the viewing must have been
scheduled and you must have signed the contract form you can go and
pick the money you transferred and give it to me after we must have
agreed and schedule the viewing with you,but immediately you arrived
the flat for the viewing i'll give you the transfer charges incurred
in the transfer, but i'm so very sure it won't be more than 40pounds
or 70pounds which i can be able to refund back to you as soon as you
arrive the flat,i will be waiting to read from you as soon. The double
room is 460 pm
Regards.

The thief will tell you that you can rent his accommodation only if you can prove that you have genuine interest. He will ask you send money by wire transfer (normally Western Union) to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".

Another variation of this scam is that you need to send (by Western Union) money in order that the keys and other documents can be couriered to you

He will ask you to send him the transfer details.

Make no mistake ! Western Union Transfers can be picked up virtually anywhere in the world and with the minimum of identification. They are almost impossible to trace once the money has been collected. You will never get to see the accommodation or your money again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
