This person asks for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment either to him, your friend or a family member.
Sounds safe. It's not!
At other times, this person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union or Moneygram with the promise that they will send the keys through a courier company.
In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

Thanks for writing back,let me tell you a little about myself I'm a 36 year old straight female, public health researcher who travels alot due to the nature of my job. that is why i need just two decent flatmates because i don't want to leave my apartment empty and am presently in Phillipine, on a public health research. I will be back home by the end of August 2011,but that will not disturbed me for letting my house to you.. All the rooms in the house has private entrance.
But since i do not have anybody to entrust my keys with my property solicitor who is based in Sydney after considering the distance he then advice me to package my apartment keys and made the deposit of keys at the DHL OFFICE located at 9 Dawson Road Perth International Airport Perth WA 6104.There is a car space which has already included in the bills and there is no extra fee in the $150 per week for you and your partner, all bills are inclusive.
If you are really interested in the i can contact my property solicitor to make arrangement for you so that you can proceed on how to reserve the room for yourself and move in before my arrival.

Therefore if you really wants to secure the room for yourselves,Kindly get back to me with your full details and your move in date so that i can send to my lawyer to prepare tenancy agreement document between both of us and am very much eager to allow legal document between us as legal back up so get back to me with information Below so that the lawyer can prepare your tenancy document in order to secure the room for yourself before your arrival so that you can proceed on how to pick up the keys.
