Got an email from her today for a place in Amsterdam. Same text as others have seen.

I was about to fall victim of this scam, that I found the whole thing a bit suspicious (the ad doesn't make any sense at all!). I run a search on google and ended up at this web site. THANK YOU VERY MUCH!

Hello,

The house is 900 sq ft, two-storey, wooden floors throughout, warm and spacious. Ideally you are friendly, social, 20-55, mature and up for the odd pint or glass of vino. Male or female. You'll be good with the basics of house sharing and welcome (the house has recently become home to a kitten who is very friendly).

Wow -- great site! I posted an apartment-wanted ad in Barcelona and "Christiane Maillard" replied. I was a little suspicious because I'd asked her to provide a link to the website of the company she was representing, which she ignored, so I Googled her and found this thread. Thank you!

i found out it's a scam after i asked the room's location, she gave me an address of a really famous apartment along with some fantastic flat pictures (too good to be true with that price of rent).
i got suspicious, googled the apartment, and turned out that the pictures she attached in her email did not match with any pictures of any other rooms in the apartment.

Oh, and fyi, she still use that [email protected] email,,, be careful guys!

Guess she went all over the world for scamming
