Hello
my name is Charles Ibeke I am the owner of the apartment at 169 w 23rd street new York. NY 10011235. The monthly rent is $1350 then first and last total $2700. Presently, I am in Canada working as a consultant in Oil & Gas accounting with Adeco exploration ltd Alberta, Canada. I can come down to show you the apartment if am convinced that you are serious. The initial plan was to sell the apartment. Which we tried, but the Realtor inflated the prize hence taking more time to sell, for this reason we need a responsible person that will take very good care of the apartment. Most importantly, a serious and trust worthy person who will be willing to pay the rent without delay.
Note; the move-in cost is the total of $2700 for First and Last. As a very busy person I would only take my time to fly down to New York to sign the lease agreement after you have seen the picture of the apartment which is attached to this mail and confirm that you like it and the money for the rent is also available.
FURNITURE : Apartment is fully furnished but if you are moving in with your furniture there is a storage room in the unit where you could keep our furniture.

THE LEASE IS FLEXIBLE (3 MONTHS) (6MONTHS) (1YEAR) (2YEARS)

This person asks for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment either to him, your friend or a family member.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, this person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union or Moneygram with the promise that they will send the keys through a courier company.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
