Hey there- so were you actually scammed out of a deposit or did the message just seem fake? I have emailed about this apartment on Craigslist, but obviously am not interested if it’s a scam. Thanks!

It's a scam, that is why it is posted here. Michelle is one of our support team and specialises in Rental Scams. The details will have been forwarded to her by a victim.

Never pay any money for a rental until you have physically been shown the inside of the property. Legitimate landlords make arrangements to ensure that their property can be viewed.

Please do not tell scammers that they are listed here - it will take them seconds to change their fake details and their new details will not be listed for any future victims to find.

A, friend was recently scammed out of £2000 by paying a "deposit" before being allowed to view the flat. A similar fate awaits you if you proceed.
