REGARDS
Landlady Pat and Paul.
This person asks for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment either to him, your friend or a family member.
Sounds safe. It's not!
At other times, this person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union or Moneygram with the promise that they will send the keys through a courier company.
In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
I am glad to read from you but the fact is since you are going to rent this property up to 12months. You need to show the proof that you are able and ready to rent it. This is only done as other tenants have always done over the years.
Since you are aware that we are in Cork, Ireland. We would come to London as usual as we do after we confirm the payment i.e 3 days after you must have confirmed it.
You would meet us at the property with a refree / refrence to also be the thrird party to sign the tenancy agreement then I would issue the receipt in your name.
This would be clearly stated the duration and time / period you want to move in. So I suggest you use the same method all my tenants has ever used.
You should use the property lawyer's account or MoneyGram or Western Union via the post office : use your name as the receiver of the funds and you family member or hubby as the sender. You sould then scan me the copy of the receipt and I would only need to confirm that it was truely sent and to be received by you in London.
This would be very safe for US both as the money would be in your name and that is a proof that You are serious and have funds to secure the property. I have had lot of people say they are interested and at the end of the day, they would fail or not show up. I would not like to waste my time and funds to come all the way from Cork,Dublin to London.
I hope you understand. Tell me what proof you have to rent our property.
Get back to me soonest so we can have it secured ASAP.
Best Regards,
Landlady Cole
