Sorry for the late response!!!!Calvary greetings to you.I did get your response concerning the AD I posted on *****Craigslist.3BR/2BA Home.. .I am the owner of the Home you are making inquiry of situated at:1120 East Burlington Street, Iowa City IA 52240 .I am looking for responsible tenants that he/she is going to take care of the Home as if it were your own and he/she will be willing to make the Property clean as we left it.Actually I resided in the Home with my family,such as my wife and my only daughter before and presently we had packed due to my transfer from my working place and now situated in the (WEST AFRICA)and won't be coming to the House until Four years now and that means we are renting the Property for long term and short term lease is also acceptable. and presently my Home is still available for rent for $1000 which no deposit is including in all the utilities like Heat, A/C in wall/window, Hydro, cable, Garbage Disposal, Fireplace , Fridge, stove, Dishwasher, Dryer, Breakfast Bar, Dining Table and Sofa Set,Refrigerator,Canopied deck overlooking nature.,internet access e..t.c .,it is furnished or if u wish to move in with your furniture's no problem..More so Now,Pls i want you to note that,i am a kind and honest man and also i spent a lot on my property that i want to give you for rent,so i will solicit for your absolute maintenance of this Home and want you to treat it as your own,is that taken, it is not the money the main problem but want you to keep it tidy all the time so that i will be glad to see it neat when i come for a check up.i do that once in a while...I also want you to let me have trust in you as i always stand on my word.

You will only be able to drive by the Home for now but not have a look at the interior until i have sent the keys and documents of the Home to you..and the requirement for getting the keys and documents of the Home is a fully refundable payment of $700 which is the security deposit. Please note that the deposit made is fully refundable should in case you finally gain entrance into the Home after receiving the keys and documents and feel unsatisfied or uncomfortable with the interior,but i am giving you a benefit of doubt that you will love everything about this lovely home.

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union or MoneyGram with a promise that he will send the keys through a courier company.
Sounds safe. It's not!
At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a friend or family member.
In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
