response concerning the AD I posted on craigslist.i am the owner of the
house you are making inquiry of.Actually I resided in the house with my
family,my wife Monica and my lovely twins before..presently we have
packed due to my {MISSIONARY WORK} transfer To (West Africa Nigeria) to
preach the GOSPEL in a church here named World Mission.my house is
still available for rent..the utilities are included in the
rent/Washer/Dryer/Electricity/heat laundry facilities,air
condition,internet Tv: Cable/Satellite TV:it is NOT furnished because i
have already move down my furniture's to the Store but if u wish to
move in with your furnishes no problem..l want you to note that i am a
kind and honest man and also i spent alot on my property that i want to
give out for rent.so am given you rules and regulation goes this way. I
want you to take absolute maintenance of my house and treat it as your
own,The money is not the main problem but i want you to keep it tidy
all the time that i will be glad to see it neat when i come back to the
state for a check up.For now we are looking for 2 or3 years lease or
rather lets us know how long you wish

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union or MoneyGram with a promise that he will send the keys through a courier company.
Sounds safe. It's not!
At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a friend or family member.
In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
