I will need this information because my family and i won't be moving back to the apartment whenever we're back, there is no Registration fee. The Security Deposit would be needed as a Security Bond in order for the keys and paperwork along side with Lease Contract agreement to be sent to you. Electric Bills and water bills have been paid for, so i would also need to send the receipts to you, would in case it would be needed.

The thief will tell you that you can rent his accommodation only if you can prove that you have genuine interest. He will ask you send money by wire transfer (normally Western Union) to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".

Another variation of this scam is that you need to send money (again via Western Union) in order that the keys and other documents can be couriered to you

He will ask you to send him the transfer details.

Make no mistake ! Western Union Transfers can be picked up virtually anywhere in the world and with the minimum of identification. They are almost impossible to trace once the money has been collected. You will never get to see the accommodation or your money again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

Thanks for your mail; my entire family and I really appreciate the fact that you have an intention to rent the apartment.

We need someone that would take good care of the apartment and pay the rents at the proper time and give it proper management.

I would want you to know that my darling wife is very interested in you moving into the apartment as the new occupant after she went through your mail, both of us have agreed to rent out the lovely home to you.

I do hope you will take good care of the apartment as soon as you move in.

I would keep my words of been a better and good Landlord to you, while i would need you to assure me of taking good care of the apartment.

Like i told you the apartment is empty, it has an air-condition, stove, gas cooker, refrigerator, extra wardrobes and curtains.

The monthly rent is $850 only, while the security deposit is $350 To move in, the security deposit would be needed, this will enable me to know how serious you are concerning the apartment, i will send keys and the paper works to you as soon as you make payment for the security deposit because the key is with me in Africa.

Right now the apartment is locked and the keys and paperwork’s would be sent to you as our new tenant, this will enable you and i can sign paperwork’s and move in.

I want you to know that the apartment will be for rent for about 5 to 6 good years because of my appointment in Africa will last for 4 years plus, so you are free to chose the numbers of years you want to stay in the apartment.

You will need to pay the security deposit directly to me, as soon as the security deposit is been received by me, i will quickly send the keys and the paper works to you via courier delivery without any further delays. The keys will be deliverred to you in the next 24 hours of the receipt of the payment information.

You will need to provide your direct address, this will enable the courier service to locate you for delivery.
