How are you today,

Thank you very much for taking your time to mail me and sorry for getting back to you late ,How are you doing today? i must tell you that it is my sincere pleasure to write you back and to let you know that the 2 bedroom 1 bathroom Duplex (sqft:1,000) you are making inquiry of is still available, the monthly fee is $750, the security deposit is $500 and pet deposit of $50 is available from now, utilities are included dryer, washer, heat, gas, light, water and Spacious living room with Amazing 2 bedroom 1 bath property just renovated in the Newport Heights area. New flooring, paint, appliances, huge private backyard available now, well trained pets are also allowed, let me quickly introduce myself to you my name is Antonia Akiva am the owner of the house you are making inquiry about and am are presently in UK with my families due to the car accident that happen to me and my husband that claim the life of my lovely husband, i have to relocate to UK so that my families can join hands together and take good care of me because i have really spend much on my medical treatment and also i have a son who need my care so i just need to move with my family so they can care for me and my son . The accident affect my back bone and hearing now i am using wheel chair and i find it very difficult to talk but i can communicate through email that is why i am always online.

Actually me and my husband both reside in the house before we start renting it out and you are our second tenant so I have decided to rent our house to somebody that can take proper care of it, if i let you rent our house, i will not like to experience what me and my late husband experienced from our last tenant, who destroyed most of our properties, and i know how much my husband spent to repair the things our last tenant destroyed so to be very honest with you, a lot of people are contacting me regarding this house but l am not sure of who to accept due to my past experience, so I'm taking my time to look for a responsible and a very honest tenant that will take proper care of our home since i am far from home, am looking for a responsible tenant that can promise to take care of the house i should rent it out to him/her.I don't ever want to take the risk of putting our house in care of an agent again because our last agent just leased our home to somebody that almost destroyed all that me and my late husband has suffered for so l am very careful with the kind of person that will rent this house, but if you can assure me that if i let you rent our house you will take proper care of it. As soon as l hear from you l will send you more information about our house . Expect to read from you soon, once again thank you very much for the time you took in mailing me l must tell you that l really appreciate it.

And also bellow is the house address, please kindly go and take proper view at the house and get back to me with your interest.

(3207 Broad Street #B, Newport Beach CA)
Thanks and God bless you for your interest.

Yours Sincerely
Antonia Akiva.

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union or MoneyGram with a promise that he will send the keys through a courier company.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
