This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union or MoneyGram with a promise that he will send the keys through a courier company.
Sounds safe. It's not!
At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.
In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

Thanks a lot for your response and i have attached pictures of myself and wife and some African friends we work together for you to see and i want you to know its a house with a garden and should in case anything damage all you have to do is fix it and let me know then the charges will be deducted from the next monthly rent,My House is fully furnished and can also be rented out unfurnished cause there is a big storage, Located in a good and quite neighborhood.I can also see your wiliness to rent my House,Hope everything is fine with you,so we can proceed,I will give you full description in the package which i will be sending to you via Dhl which will contain entrance keys and the documents of the House but you need to make one month security deposit which is 200Pounds first to secure the House and it's refundable at the end of Your tenancy,i am doing this cause i have been taking advantage of before and i am not willing to fall a victim again and the package will be delivered to you the next day after deposit is confirmed.You can't view the inside as i told you earlier because the keys and documents are here with me.You can view the location.So if you are comfortable with that, you can get back to me.I know how you feel at this point in time, As it wasn't my fault, as we were suppose to lock up the House at the very time we where leaving for missionary trip down to West Africa,and we never had an intention of renting it out. When I know how people work and earn their money, I will never think of taking some advantages over you and your money, please take that out off your mind, that is really awful thing on the earth that I will never think about doing. Please understand me better, I was not trying to lure you into this, everything about me and my home is 100% real OK and its a house, i can never tarnish my name and image all because of money and i wouldn't do such a thing when i have blood running through my vain,So as I shall be giving you My home With your Age I know you would be able to take good care of it well for me,( that is the reason why i said you should make 200Pounds as deposit which is refundable at the end of your tenancy and the rent per month include all bills and i will get the keys and documents Ship down to you,I dont dissapoint people cause i know how hurting it could be and as someone who has the fear of God in me i live up to the word of God okay????i will be sending my details in the next email,waiting to hear from you.
