Subject: Lease Agreement

Hello,

First of all I want to thank you for your reply. I really appreciate you took the time to answer me. I am the owner of the apartment l. It is still available for rent for $1000/month including all the utilities utilities. The apartment is in the best conditions, it is newly furnished and equipped with all the dependencies. I bought the apartment in 2007 and I lived there with my pet until last month when I received a contract and needed to move to Anchorage/Alaska. In the apartment you will find a dishwasher, a refrigerator, a freezer, a washing machine, a dryer, an iron, , an oven, a toaster, a coffee maker, vacuum cleaner, a big screen TV, cable TV with the basic access, ADSL internet and Wi-Fi access. Also the apartment is near the public transportation, a shopping mall, a gym, and other facilities. There are no problems if you have any pets, as long as you clean up after them. The apartment has a parking space for one car. I have spent a great amount of money refurnishing the apartment and my request is that you treat it like it was your own. I am not interested to make a lot of money from the rent as I am interested to find a tenant that will take good care of the property until my return (the minimum lease period is 3 months maximum 3 years).

Because I had to move to Alaska so soon I didn't had the time to find a trustworthy agent, I had to take the apartment keys with me. I had a real bad experience with the renting agents from the area with my previous home. I can't come to show you the apartment and I don't have any friends in the area to send the keys. I have found a way for us to complete the deal fast (2 days) and easy. The solution is http://www.Escrow.com, with them you will be able to check the apartment before I receive the payment.
Let me know how this sounds to you.

Looking forward to your answer.
Alessandro Marri

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union or MoneyGram to an escrow company with a promise that he will send the keys through a courier company.

Sounds safe. It's not!
The escrow company do not work this way.

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

I will explain you in few steps how this transaction should be made through Escrow for both protection.
You should pay first 1 month rent + Security deposit so the total amount will be $2000.
You will have to send me your details (your full name and address) so I can fill out the lease
agreement and start the transaction.I will pay for a 2 days delivery so you will receive the Keys and the contract signed by me right away.
How does it work?

1. Tenant and Landlord Agree to Terms
Both parties agree to terms of the transaction, which includes a description of the apartment, Rent price, number of days for the Tenant's inspection.
2. Tenant Pays Escrow.com
The Tenant submits an available payment option. Escrow.com verifies the payment. Processing time varies by payment method.
3. Landlord Ships the keys and the lease contract
Upon payment verification, the Landlord is authorized to ship keys and the lease contract and submit tracking information. Escrow.com verifies that the Tenant receives the shipment.
4. Tenant Accepts the apartment
The Tenant has a set number of days for an inspection and the option to accept or reject the apartment.
5. Escrow.com Pays the Landlord
Escrow.com pays the Landlord by the method selected by the Landlord. The transaction is complete.
If you agree with this please email me back with your full name and address in order to start the transaction.

Thank you,
Alessandro Marri
