Hi!

A scammer has contacted me.. this are the emails:

(1st one)
How are you doing?

Via Giovanni Keplero, 20124 Milano. house is located in the Centre of Milan, near the railway station and a 2 minute walk from the subway stop. The atmosphere is comfortable and friendly. also near disco 'Alcatraz' and 'De Sade-Zenith' (Via Valtellina). The rooms are large and bright, warm in winter and cool in summer, all equipped. From here you can take the yellow subway directly to the central station (2 stops) and Duomo square (6 stops). With bus N.91 you can get to the Fiera Milano and the San Siro stadium.

The room is 450 per month. All utilities included(Electricity, water, internet access, waste disposal and gas)and you are going to pay 450 for deposit. This will be refunded to you at the end of your stay in my apartment.I like reading, writing, fine arts, movies, sports, cooking and I don't mind to go for a pint now and then either. In my flat I like things rather clean without being fussy and I'm quite easy going. I like to socialize but need my privacy now and then.

Regards,

Priscilla Ricchizzi.

I asked her to reduce the ammount of the rent, and she agreed!! Also she attached amazing photos of the place

(2nd mail)
Hello,

It's a great pleasure to know that you are interested in my room.I'lllike to inform you that i have 2 furnished rooms and the rent is 430Euros per month for each room while the security deposit is 430 Euros and the rent includes all utilities bills, so you do not need to pay any extra bills when you move into the flat. I'm only giving out my rooms just to put an end to my emptiness in the flat and not because of the rent price or anything. So i guess that's the reason why my rooms are so cheap. I'm presently Malaysia due to the nature of my job; I believe you have seen the pictures, so I'll like you to choose the exact room you would like to occupy. But in the meantime I'll like you to send me the details below so that i can instruct my lawyer to prepare your lease agreement document and the room will be fully reserved for you and you can move in at anytime you want. I’ll also like to inform you that each room in the flat has private toilet and bathroom, so you do not need to share it with anybody and that the rent includes all utility bills and internet so you do not need to pay extra bills when you move into the flat.

Full Name:
Age:
Sex:
Occupation:
Moving Date:
Present Address:
Contact Number:
Number of months you intend to stay in the room:
Number of months you want to pay for upfront:

However you can still move in while am still away, because i deposite the Spare Keys of the apartment with the FEDEX Office. so if you really want to move in i will be wiling to send you the Reference Number (code number) that you will present to the FEDEX Officers so as to get the spare keys that i deposited with them or better still i will like you to send me your present address so that i can have it sent directly to you FEDEX 24hours Express Delivery Service and you will get the Keys and Lease Tenant Agreement Document within 24hours.I will be like you to get back to me as soon as possible so that you lease document can be prepared and you can proceed with making your payment of one month and the security deposit directly to me over here or to me. so that the room would be fully reserved for you till you are ready to move in. I'll be willing to send you a scanned copy of my ID, so as to prove to you that i truly own the apartment and that there's nothing at all to worry about. You are in safe hands.

Hope to read from you again soon.

Best Regards,
Priscilla Ricchizzi.

Welcome to ScamWarners dayanita. It is good that you recognized that this is a scam. There would be nothing at the end, except lost money you have sent.

This line always causes me to laugh:
I'll be willing to send you a scanned copy of my ID, so as to prove to you that i truly own the apartment and that there's nothing at all to worry about. You are in safe hands.

As if sending an ID proves ownership and safety.

Hopefully this will help others not get trapped by this kind of scam.

Hello scamwarners! I'm a student in Milan and I was about to get trapped in this Priscilla-gate, too. It sounded really weird to me: too low the price for such rooms. So I went there in via Keplero and asked if anyone knew this girl and nobody had ever even heard bout her. Also, if you google one of the pics of the bedroom, you can see it posted on etsy.com, it's in an ad for wall decorations. So: be careful!

This the same person has contacted me and am located in Florence and I was looking for an apartment here.

I was surprised to see such a price for such a good rooms. Anyways I kept talking to her and when it came to the payment that was it, I got that something is wrong. ;)

Although this person asked me to send money to Malaysia on this address:

36G (Level 3), Jalan Tengkat Tong Shin - Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia - it's a hostel's address.

She/He sent me her document I wonder if it is the same person or not;
Oh and e-mail she contacted me was: [email protected]

I was searching for an apartment at Bologna and this person contacted me.It sounded really weird and I checked her name on google so this website came in.I am surprised and glad i didnt waste any money. From the start it was strange and I was keep asking her if she had anyone to show me the house. She told me then that she cant do anything because she is not at Bologna now and that her previous housemate had no problems with her. Then I asked her to give me the contact number or email of her housemate to ask her about the house and im still waiting for an answer. Also I completed the form and I completed my current address. Is this some kind of dangerous?Sorry to ask but its a bit creepy to me.

Hi chocoholic. Welcome to ScamWarners. :)

The form you filled out is part of the scammer's process in order to make him look legitimate.
What a rental scammer asks for can usually be found in the public domain and is of no financial value to him.

If you have given details such as bank account or credit card details, then please report this to the bank or card company.

If you've only given personal details such as address, phone number etc. then I wouldn't lose any sleep over it. 8)

I am sure it is likely to be the same person/scammer. Always follow the maxim that "Google is your friend".

We sleep safe in our beds because rough men stand ready in the night to visit violence on those who would do us harm. ~~ George Orwell.

^^ I beg to differ... Google is indeed your friend but the FB account belongs to an innocent.
The scammer, will not be from Rome and is using her name. He simply searched for an Italian name in order to back up his story.

These thieves never use their own real life details.

Hi, i'm the Real Priscilla Ricchizzi and i can say that this is a terrible scam! In September i started to serch for a Room in Rome, i live already here but i was looking for something nearest to my work. I logged on the website "Easy stanza" and then a girl "Leifflen Emmanuel" starts to send me e-mail with attached pictures of a wonderful house near my job and also really cheap...it sounds a little weird to me, but she send me also the link of her website and she sounds so nice and polite i believed her, then she told me that she would like to give me a a code in order that i could go to Fedex Rome Office to take the key and to see the house.
So i trust her and i sent her my ID, after one day she desappears.....After two days i start to look for more information about her and i found another mail adress...the real Leifflen Emanuelle told me that she doesn't rent any house...and that is a scam.... So i went to the police to denouce, and the give me just a preventive sheet. Now they are doing the same to me. A Lot of girls and boys contact me on facebook for the house, and i told them that i DO NOT RENT ANY APPARTMENT! for the others i don't know what to do, but please if someone contact me with my name and my ID PLEASE DON'T GIVE THEM ANYTHING, it's a terrible scam!!
I really hope that my testimony may be helpfull.

^^ Welcome to ScamWarners, Priscilla.
It is unfortunate that the scammer is using your details in order to back up his story. This is one of the reasons they like to ask for a scan of an ID.

Having the warning here helps to stop others from falling victim to this scam and we thank you for posting and confirming this.

I am so glad that I saw this. This is definitely a life-saving website.

I'm looking for an apartment in Milan as part of an Erasmus exchange and I received the exact same word for word email today but from a different name: PERON MICOL. I found it peculiar that there wasn't a number for the building or even an apartment floor. He almost immediately asked me for my details and ID but thankfully I have now seen this website. I also received a similar email from Hanifi Meriem who has also been identified on this same website as a scammer... I have posted in that thread too... Thank you ScamWarners haha. It's a shame we can't do anything to bring these idiots down!
