Beware: This scammer's newest name is Ron Maden ( aka Ron Tomason or Ron Marshal),
same e-mail address as in other previous posts here : [email protected]
He is now advertising an apartment in Whitby on craigslist
Red flags: He communicates only through e-mail, although he seems to be in a real hurry to rent. In his first answer he disclosed an unusual amount of personal info ( landlords normally don't do that ). He said he was willing to fly over from England to meet a previous renter ??? Why would he not use the services of a local realtor for the same cost and less hassles???
This scammer seems to have been at it at least since 2008. I saw an identical rather unusual sentence in his e-mail to us, as well as in an e-mail posted online, http://vancouvercondo.info/2008/03/beware-the-craigslist-rental-scam.html, posted by CeeCee March 24th, 2008 at 9:59 pm.
His grammar and spelling has improved, or perhaps with all the money he is raking in he can afford a good translator? What makes me really sick is that no one has stopped him!
