Thank you for your interest in my apartment. Maybe I have a shot time to write this but I will try to give you a complete detail of the apartment. so you can decide if it is okay for your schedule or not .


Our one bedroom apartment is furnished to the taste of every modern day business minded person. My family and i use to live in it until recently my husband was transferred to work here in Ontario temporarily, so we are now in Ontario together with the keys and locked up the place since we still have all our valuable things inside the apartment. You must know our apartment will only be open for 1 year and half starting now as I am away.


I am originally from Denver, Colorado but I fell in love with a Canadian man whose mother is an American, so I married him, we have been married for close to 12years now and we have lovely twins a boy and a girl, My husband is a civil engineer and he is an hardworking man and is always on the move so I am left to take care of the issue of getting a good tenant for the apartment.


Have you rented a furnished apartment before? We are renting out our apartment and it is a single living room and a single bedroom, is this what you are looking for? The apartment is loaded with all the utilities like, wireless internet, electricity, water, refrigerator, water heater, Laundry Facilities, Parking Available, Satellite TV, stove and Oven. Every thing is included in the monthly rent. We made the rent low as 500 Euro so that the tenant can help us take good care of the place for the time we will are away .

The apartment has charming on-sight beams and finely selected furnishings, this 75sq.mt apartment offers a refined ambiance with a true charm. The front door opens up directly into the day area, welcoming guests into a spacious living room with large windows and furnished with double sofa bed, a flat screen TV, and a rectangular glass-top dining table which extends into a round table to comfortable sit up to 4 dinner guests. A leather screen hides the opening to the niche where the modern and fully equipped separate kitchen is, complete with all necessities including a dishwasher and a combo micro-oven.


The entire floors are made of polished fine tiles and it needs cleaning regularly to keep it in form and shining. The fancy lights bring out the beauty at night.
The picture on the wall of the bedroom cost us a lot and need care in handling it. The bed is large enough for 2/3 persons to sleep and the floor will need constant cleaning as well.


The sleeping area offers a bright and spacious double bedroom furnished with a charming chest of drawers by a small leather armchair matching the leather bed frame. Two doors in the room hide two further areas: the walk-in closet, large and well lit and complete with a washer-dryer; and the en-suite bathroom, fitted with a large stall shower, washbasin, bidet and toilet.


About the kitchen,I visited a chef and I was fascinated by the kitchen materials I saw so I equipped my kitchen to the taste of every one that love cooking. But if you don’t want to cook make sure the kitchen is clean and every thing locked up safe for me.

The bathroom is made of tiles all through and it has every thing you can think of except I don’t know what thing you need there that was not included. There is even a cosmetic shelf in the bathroom and it is for both males and females.


I like to know more about you and the kind of person you are, I like to know your present location, I would like to know if you are a student or if you work then what is your occupation. If you do business then what kind of business do you deal on? You can also call me on my phone at any time of the day, I will be glad if you try.


If you are staying for up to 1 year an upfront 2-months rent will be paid covering the first 2 months and also the last month that you will rent the apartment. And if you are staying for bellow 5 months 2-months rent will be paid for the first 1 and last month you will be occupying the apartment. but first we must sign my rental agreement as a sign of understanding and agreement with terms and conditions.


The apartment key is right here with me. I already said as much as I can right now and would need to know if you are fine with my total rent.


You don’t know how important my apartment is to me. The photos cannot show all the beauty of it. From the living room to the bedroom and to the kitchen and bathroom everything is just new and perfect. But if you know you can take good care of the apartment and treat it like it belongs to you let me know and I will get back to you with the pictures of our apartment.

The thief will tell you that you can rent his accommodation only if you can prove that you have genuine interest. He will ask you send money by wire transfer (normally Western Union) to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".

Another variation of this scam is that you need to send (by Western Union) money in order that the keys and other documents can be couriered to you

He will ask you to send him the transfer details.

Make no mistake ! Western Union Transfers can be picked up virtually anywhere in the world and with the minimum of identification. They are almost impossible to trace once the money has been collected. You will never get to see the accommodation or your money again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

Thank you so much for writing back, we really appreciate it. We will like you to bear in mind that, If we had wanted a tenant we would have giving out the apartment just as we were leaving for Bancroft, My husband and i thought since we wouldn't be in use of the apartment in the next year and half , why not take in a tenant and make it convenient enough for you to be able to afford it and for exchange take a good and proper care of the apartment as we would do. You see why we need not just a tenant but some one that understands our worries and should be ready to take care of the place as I mentioned in my first mail.

We am okay with you so far, we need a neat person like i said earlier and if you can keep my furniture and paintings safe we should not have any stress coming to an agreement. If you have any furniture’s they will not be needed except you keep them in the store room, I don’t want the apartment interior arrangement to change from what it is for now since we paid the interior designer to fix it as a apartment. We have a store room where you can store other furniture you think will not be usable by you

We need some one that will keep the apartment the way we have left it. We decided to reduced the rent to 500 Euro from what the regular cost so that the tenant can at list keep the apartment like it is yours and keep us informed before anything goes wrong so we can get it fixed.

We are presently in Ontario because of his present contract and no one will have the time to visit or show the apartment to you at the moment though we planed coming to visit our tenant during the Christmas Holiday. How ever , since we have the keys right here with us , the pictures of our apartment will be attached to this letter so you know how it looks like.

To make this easy for you and not waste too much time since we are busy here with other things in mind, we have decided to sign a rental agreement with you. In these case 2 months rent deposit will be paid at the same time the rental agreement is signed to book and hold down the apartment.


Concerning the keys, since we are in Ontario,you will be receiving the keys by express DHL to the address you will be providing, but first we have to come to an agreement and we are only asking for 2 months rent deposit that is the first month and last month rents.

If you are okay with my terms you can provide us some answers to complete the rental agreement on time or depending on when we get your reply with answers to the questions bellow.
As soon as we get these information's , the rental agreement will be forwarded to you with our signature which has been signed on our part and yours be signed on it and have it sent back to us.

Thanks for taking the time to create this entry on the blog. I received the exact same email string about an apartment in Key West Florida. Exact same apartment description, except originally from Florida, curently in Seattle. All sounded suspicious from the beginning. I googled her phone number and one of the results was your blog.

Anyway, thanks again - you're entry saved me time confirming that it was a scam.
