The thief will tell you that you can rent his accommodation only if you can prove that you have genuine interest. He will ask you send money by wire transfer (normally Western Union) to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".
Another variation of this scam is that you need to send (by Western Union) money in order that the keys and other documents can be couriered to you
He will ask you to send him the transfer details.
Make no mistake ! Western Union Transfers can be picked up virtually anywhere in the world and with the minimum of identification. They are almost impossible to trace once the money has been collected. You will never get to see the accommodation or your money again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

I understand that you might have had some bad experience in the past cos i had my own past experience too with time wasters that after the viewing they will be pleading to have the room for some period of time before making the total moving in cost which i won't like to go through anymore.Also before any kind of payment between us am willing to scan and send across to you a copy of my passport in other to have more identity about who you dealing with before any kind of payment.
However,am willing to make myself available for the viewing along with your friend immediately have seen the financial proof that you're really interested and up tot he task of renting the room due to my past experience.So what i'll suggest is that you transfer the money to your friend in london.Once you get through with the transfer then you're to get back to me with a scanned copy of the western union receipt which stands as the financial proof.immediately i get that and money is available for pickup by your friend then we proceed to viewing and after that and your friend is okayw with the flat which am sure of then he or she can proceed in picking up the transfer and make payment in cash.I think have given all the best and secured way for both side to proceed.thanks
