Rental Scammer - [email protected]

I believe this man is now under Jang Savastaite ([email protected])

Posted on craigslist for a apartment on 4360 Lorimer Rd Whistler, BC V0N 1B4, Canada, which is the Marketplace in Whistler. Claims to be a artist who has recently moved to The Phillipines having opened a shop there.

His email pretty much came across with exactly same wording, and process.

Professional and mature neighbors ensure peaceful living arrangements. Freshly painted and immaculately clean.

The rent is $500 per month including utilities and $500 for damages deposit....I will like you to drive by to the building today to view the exterior of the building for you to know where the apartment is located and get back to me so that I can forward you the full interior pictures to you to have an idea how beautiful and spacious the inside looks and we can proceed to the next step which is the application process...

I haven't paid anything to him, and have asked for photo id, but i don't believe i will go through it.

If you did go through with it, you would have no money and no place to live.

The English tells me that the writer is African, and the emails follow the course of a bog-standard rental scam. The scammer is undoubtedly located in Africa or Malaysia, and has absolutely no connection or access to the place he claims to own.

The best thing to do is to cut off all contact with this scammer.
