Subject: Re: Michelle Banks Details
Hello,
Please find attached to this email is a copy of the lease agreement sent to me by my solicitor. He has signed his part and likewise me too. You are to sign your part, scan and send the lease agreement to my solicitor for him to complete the necessary documentation for you to move in.
You are to print and sign the last page of both the terms and the lease agreement. After you are done with the signing, please scan and send a copy of the signed lease agreement to my solicitor on [email protected] and also me too. If you have anything to ask, please feel free to ask me and I will get back to you with the necessary answers as soon as possible.
After you are done with the signing, you can also proceed with the payment too. The total amount you are to send to me now to make reservation for yourself is a month rent of $500 (month rent including utilities)+ Bond $500 (refundable Security Deposit) = $1000AUD. I would want you to make the payment through Western Union Money Transfer and immediately you send the details of the payment to me which include Sender's name and address, MTCN and the payout amount in GBP which will all be seen on the western union receipt, I would verify and make the acknowledgment letter ready for you or better still send a scanned copy of the receipt to my lawyer so that he can complete his documentation too and also issue your tenancy receipt.
Please note that I asked you to send the rent via western union because of some reasons here... I cannot access my account here in London and to confirm your payment will be very difficult not to talk of making withdrawals. I hope you understand what I mean.
Below are the details you need in sending the payment:-
RECEIVER'S NAME: RUTH CARTHEW
ADDRESS: 27-37 St Georges Road
CITY: LONDON
COUNTRY: UNITED KINGDOM
POSTAL CODE: SW19 4DS
I've also attached my passport to this mail so that you can be sure of who you are dealing with. I would be expecting to read from you as soon as possible. Till then, take a good care of yourself.
Best Regards,
Ruth
The thief will tell you that you can rent his accommodation only if you can prove that you have genuine interest. He will ask you send money by wire transfer (normally Western Union) to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".
Another variation of this scam is that you need to send (by Western Union) money in order that the keys and other documents can be couriered to you
He will ask you to send him the transfer details.
Make no mistake ! Western Union Transfers can be picked up virtually anywhere in the world and with the minimum of identification. They are almost impossible to trace once the money has been collected. You will never get to see the accommodation or your money again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
