Hi Michelle,

How are you doing? I just got your inquiry into the room i have for rent in my flat. The room is fully furnished. There is also a WI-Fi Internet access from anywhere in the flat. I was in Malaga early 2009 on a visit to a friend who was getting married and i really enjoyed myself. I liked the culture of you Spanish and i look forward to visiting again, maybe this time Madrid because i heard it is a very beautiful city.

The room itself is light, spacious and with neutral decor (walnut wood floor, light walls with chrome fittings and fitted white clothes storage units) The room has two large windows which offer natural light as well as roof-top views onto Ken Church Street and Notting Hill Gate.

The entire flat has been professionally interior designed to a high specification including luxury living and dining room, floor to ceiling travertine limestone bathroom and granite kitchen with all mod cons fully integrated into the design. The flat also benefits from access to a flat roof which is accessed via ladder but offers further views of the Ken Palace Conservation Area.

The building itself is located off Kensington Church Street near the junction with Notting Hill Gate and forms part of the Kensington Palace Conservation Area.

Notting Hill Gate tube station is the nearest to the house, with its fast Central line access to the City, is a 1 minute walk from the flat, Kensington Gardens is a 3 minute walk, High Street Kensington is a 7 minute walk and even Oxford Street is a 15-20 minute walk along Bayswater Road.

The rent is 90 pounds a week (360 pounds a month) and it is inclusive of all bills. A security deposit of 360 pounds is required which would be refunded back to you upon move-in. Receipts would be issued for any payments or deposit made as well.

I'm Alisa Roskach,a female and i work for an Insurance company here.

You'll be sharing the flat with me and Maria, whom just finished her Masters here in London and has started a job here. We're very friendly, loving and fun to be with. We are also neat and serious minded as well. Therefore,we are both Professionals.

Hope it is what you want? I look forward to hearing from you and i also await the confirmation of your interest as well.

Regards,
Alisa.

Thanks for the fast response and i appreciate what you have told me about yourself. You sound like someone that would be lovely to have around as a flatmate

The period you want to arrive suits me perfectly and i think we can work everything out. I am happy that you are coming to London on Friday, i believe this just makes everything much more easy for the both of us. The only thing is that i am now very weary of time wasters and those that tend to take advantage of viewings. For this reason,i would like to be sure that you would really be coming to London. I think you should understand my point.

Furthermore, since you are coming to viewing,i would want to be sure that i am not going to waste my time. So i would want you to make the transfer of the deposit+1month rent to yourself by western union or moneygram and send a copy of the transfer voucher for confirmation. Then after showing you the flat and you want to go ahead with renting it, you can then go ahead and collect the money and pay me hand to hand (cash). I would issue a receipt and also hand over the key of the room to you as well. This would give me a sense of security about whom i am dealing with. Thanks and i await your response.

Many thanks,
Alisa.

*** This scammer may send out a copy of a passport for identification purposes - Please note: The identification has been stolen from a person with a similar name who is not involved in this Scam
.

The thief will tell you that you can rent his accommodation only if you can prove that you have genuine interest. He will ask you send money by wire transfer (normally Western Union) to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".

Another variation of this scam is that you need to send (by Western Union) money in order that the keys and other documents can be couriered to you

He will ask you to send him the transfer details.

Make no mistake ! Western Union Transfers can be picked up virtually anywhere in the world and with the minimum of identification. They are almost impossible to trace once the money has been collected. You will never get to see the accommodation or your money again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

Hi, just to say I got into the same conversation with this "Alisa" person ... the first scam alert we had was that the pictures shown on craigslist to advertise the flat were found to be from American Hotel chains ... most impressive!! I also got the fake i.d. and a fake council tax bill ... amusing since the property is in Notting Hill which is Borough of Kensington and Chelsea and the bill showed Borough of Haringey ... nice try!

This was my first exposure to such things ... it now has me very wary of course ... subsequently got into a conversation with the Helena Duffy person ... the pattern just repeats doesn't it??
