This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union or MoneyGram with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.
Sounds safe. It's not!
At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.
In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

I want you to fill it and email the Authorization form back to us as soon as possible, so that we can pencil down your reservation with us.......We inform the owner regarding your reservation and the owner said we should go ahead and rent it out for your chosen date at $1200 for 4 nights...........You will make a total deposit payment of $800 to the owner of the property to hold your reservation date .......... Refundable security fee plus %50 required from the full rental fee .....The deposit payment will be transfer to the owner of the property via money gram ,you should deduct the money gram charges from the deposit.....i will be at the property address waiting upon your arrival time to hand over the key to you and check you in .all you need to do and reserve the property is to show some sign of commitment to be able to hold the property for the reservation date .
CANCELLATION POLICY: If you wish to cancel this reservation, notice of cancellation MUST BE IN WRITING AND RECEIVED before 3 days to your Arrival date. If less a cancellation fee of $30 dollars will be deducted from the paid rent and you'll be paid the rest.
