This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union or MoneyGram with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.
Sounds safe. It's not!
At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.
In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

My home is still available for rent, We are renting this home to a responsible and neat individual or family who will treat the house as his or her own. Well,Our house has been put up for sale until my wife advised me to put it out for rent. My home has 3 Bedrooms 2 full, 1 partial Bathrooms , while the size is 1,800 sqft. Our lovely home is still available for lease and we want responsible adults/family who are neat and also believe that they have what it takes to take care of our house as if it were theirs. My wife and I initially had it up for sale but had a change of mind in leasing it out ourselves because the agent that was in charge of our rental property was asking too much of an agent fee and also making it difficult for people that wants to rent our home.
We have also made it known to anyone renting our home that our objectives are making sure that the house is kept clean and neat. Utilities include Electricity, water, gas while appliances includes refrigerator, Stove, microwave, dishwasher, Washer/Dryer, Garbage etc.... I initially wrote you that we had plans of selling our house but had a change of mind to lease it out since we will not be staying more than 4 years.
It has an off street parking and a garage and due to how wonderfully we decorated the house, there is nothings you will have to provide because I have done virtually everything that needs to be provided in that home to make my tenants comfortable and okay I am not planning to sell the house anymore because I think if I can get a very good tenant who can take proper care of the house, there wont be any need for that because I will be staying like 3 to 4 years here.
The reason why our house is up for lease is because I got transferred from my place of work to Washington, I will be away with my family for at least 3 years or more because of the love I have for them, I have decided not to sell our house and also assuring them that we only have few years to spend here and will be willing to lease it out to person/family who is willing to assure us of taking absolute care of our home and pay their rent on time.
I will start by telling you more regarding my family and I. I have a daughter named Leslie (20yrs) who attends University of Washington at Seattle as a medical student, she has a lot going for her and she is also down to earth in all that she does to keep us happy and when she is back home on vacation, she also assist her mom in the house work when am at work. I work as a Robotic Programmer & Welder/Fitter here in Washington.I got married to a lovely wife who is a member of Joyce Meyer Ministries, so she is also a very busy ministry worker.
We will be pleased if we can find the right tenant to rent our home, a person who is a clean freak and does not tolerate anything that has to do with dirt... we also would like to know more about you and your family, your renting experience and how long and when you plan moving into our home.My home is very specious and neat.
All thanks to my wife, as she made sure we had a re-think before changing our mind from selling our home and have found out that renting it will be the best option for us as we plan on coming back to our lovely home. If all arrangement goes well, we will have the entrance keys and other relevant document in a hard copy paper shipped to your present home address for you to move in at your convenient date. Our home is beautiful and need no amendments.
All you have to do is bring in your belongings and maintain the utilities for us. We also have Internet cable in our home as we speak, and will like you to take absolute care of our house when you move in.
Get back to us, and tell us more about yourself so that we will know if we will be attaching a rental application form for you to fill and get back to us with your information so that we can know you better and see if we can accept you of becoming our tenant and then we can take it from there.
