Hello,

First of all I want to thank you for your email and I really appreciate you took the time to contact me. The apartment is in the immaculate condition, it is newly furnished and equipped with all the dependencies. I bought the place in 2007 and I lived there until last month when I received a promotion and needed to move to (Dublin) Ireland.

In the apartment you will find a dishwasher, a refrigerator, a freezer, a washing machine, a dryer, an iron, , an oven, a toaster, a coffee maker, vacuum cleaner, a big screen 3D LED TV, cable TV with the basic access, ADSL internet and Wi-Fi access. It is fully furnished. Also the apartment is near the public transportation, a shopping mall, a gym, and other facilities. There are no problems if you have any pets, as long as you clean up after them. The apartment has a parking space for one car. I have spent a great amount of money refurnishing the apartment and my request is that you treat it like it was your own. I am not interested to make a lot of money from the rent as I am interested to find a tenant that will take good care of the property until my return.
My contract here expires in October 2016.

Because I had to move to (Dublin) so soon I didn't had the time to find a trustworthy agent, I had to take the apartment keys with me. I had a really bad experience with the renting agents from the area with my previous home. I can't come to show you the apartment and I don't have any friends in the area to send the keys. However, I have found the best and the most secure way for us to complete the deal fast (3 days) and easy. The solution is a worldwide delivery company called TNT (www.tnt.com) with them you will be able to check the apartment before I receive the payment.

Let me know if you are interested!

The thief will tell you that you can rent his accommodation only if you can prove that you have genuine interest. He will ask you send money by wire transfer (normally Western Union) to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".

Another variation of this scam is that you need to send (by Western Union) money in order that the keys and other documents can be couriered to you

He will ask you to send him the transfer details.

Make no mistake ! Western Union Transfers can be picked up virtually anywhere in the world and with the minimum of identification. They are almost impossible to trace once the money has been collected. You will never get to see the accommodation or your money again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

Hi,

Address: 421 Chestnut St, Philadelphia, PA 1910
I will explain you in few steps how this transaction should be made through TNT for both protection.
- Firstly you need to pay one month’s rent plus the BOND (a total amount of $1980-) to the TNT agent. And you should send me your full name and address so that I can fill out the lease agreement and start the transaction.
- I will send the keys and the signed lease contract using TNT two day delivery service. They will then email you to let you know they have received these. And providing they have received the payment from you they will release the keys and the lease contract to you.
- You can then check out the apartment.
- If you like it, all you need to do is instruct TNT to release your payment to me.
- If you don’t like it, you should return the keys and lease contract to TNT and they will refund the payment you have made.
I hope that you're OK with this and we can close the deal.
