Hello,
My name is Sharon Bassett, and I am the owner of the 2 Bedroom apartment that you are interested in. I've purchased the apartment as holiday home because I love US life style and the apartment has been a breath of fresh air and relaxation when I am not working. I have decided to rent the apartment because my financial situation is not so good at this time and I also cannot live in the US in the near future because I just received a new work contract on the Dunbar Oil platform in the North Sea ( I work as an engineer ) and I will be there for at least 8 months per year. Due to my present situation, I will not be able to use the apartment for at least one year and I have decided that it is better to rent it for an extra income ( to earn some money ). I really hope to find a good and responsible tenant for the apartment. The apartment is ready to welcome you right now. I decided to rent it out for 1 year with possible extension depending on how long you will want it. If you are planning to rent for more then one year, it's not a problem, because I can give it for rent for as long as you need.
The apartment it's fully furnished , fully accessorized (can be rented unfurnished also, you can deposit my furniture and everything you will not use in the building storage area). You have new dishes, towels, sheets, TV + DVD + sound system, toaster, coffee maker, micro wave oven, oven, washing machine, air cond. , iron, radio. 90% of the stuff is brand new, unused, and also everything is insured as I told you, with Yahoo Realtor.com (http://realtor.com/). You also have 2 parking spaces available. The monthly rent includes everything (Heating, Water, Internet, TV, 2 Parking spaces, Electricity).
The monthly rent for the apartment is US $1000. First month's advance, US $1000 deposit. If you can and if you want to pay for 3 months in advance it will be considered as 4 month's rent ( you will have 1 month free ). We will use a standard tenancy contract, according to the US federation of house owners and also according to the United States legislation.
The exact location of the apartment is: 76 Batterymarch St Boston MA 02110
And some photos:
Because I am unable to show you the apartment in person I decided that it's better for both of us to use a multinational renting service, provided by Realtor.com (http://realtor.com/). They have a big experience in such transactions closed over the Internet and their services are the most recommended for such transactions ( they offer their services all over US and Europe, Realtor.com is recommended by Trulia, Zillow and other realtor websites to their customers). We will use a standard tenancy contract, according to the US federation of house owners and also according to the United States.
That's all I can say for the moment, If you are still interested please reply with a few details about you, your job and references if possible. In the next email I will give you more information about the Realtor.com detailed process, more information about the apartment and also more pictures. Please reply if you are still interested.
Thank you.
This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union or MoneyGram to an escrow company with a promise that he will send the keys through a courier company.
Sounds safe. It's not!
These companies do not work this way.
At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.
In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
