Subject: RE: 2 BEDROOM 2 BATH CONDO FOR RENT

Hello,
Thanks for taking the time to look at my property. My name is
Rebecca Gardiner ,I'm 39 years old,I'm the owner of this condo(2 bedrooms,2
bathrooms,1,335 square footage). It's located in 1656 Logan Street, Denver
CO 80218 .The unit is equipped with recessed lighting, central air and
heat, the condo come with two parking spots,a storage unit where you can
deposit my furniture (if you don't like it and you want use your
furniture),there is also a linen closet, and most importantly, a new front
loading stacked washer and drier.Pets allowed.I've moved to United Kingdom
with my job and decided to rent it because the rent is very expensive
here. The price is so low because I'm here and is very hard to find a
tenant.I can rent you the condo for min. 1 month and max. 6 years(or
more).I really want to find a good and responsible tenant for it, and I
hope that you can send me some personal information about yourself. The rent
for whole the condo for 1 month is $700.00 including all
utilities(water, electricity, internet, cable, parking , airconditioning,
fireplace, dishwasher, garbage) and the security deposit is $700.00 (you'll
get the deposit back at your departure-or you can use it to pay your last
month of rent) and I want to receive the money monthly in my bank account.
You can move in the condo in the same day when you receive the keys. The
only problem is that I`m the only person who has the keys and I have nobody
in United States that could show you the condo. In order to check it, see
if you like it(I'm sure that you'll love it), you need to receive the keys
and the contract.
If you want to rent the condo, please e-mail me back and I will explain
you how the payment and shipping will take place!

Have a nice day

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union or MoneyGram to an escrow company with a promise that he will send the keys through a courier company.

Sounds safe. It's not!
These companies do not work this way.

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

I received a rental reply almost identical to those posted in this forum! I replied to it today JUST before I decided to google the call back number I received.

Just emailed this to Con Warner @ yahoo.com:
"Hi Con Warner,

I just happened to google the phone number posted at the end of this email below and it turned up the ScamWarners website. Wow. I feel so disgusted and disappointed. I didnt think to google it until after I replied. Fortunately, I didnt give too much information on myself except a brief description of my family and rental history and abilities. Smh. What should I do now? I have registered at ScamWarners. Should I just post this email like you've done under Rental Scams thread?

Thanks for the support!"

So Im just gonna begin a new thread with the scam info so I can get on with my day!
