Hello Dear,
Thanks for your response to our Home on CL,we are glad you are interesting in renting,we would want you to know that our home is located in a very safe neighborhood.Myself and my husband owns the house and also want you to know that it was due to our transfer to ( West Africa , Nigeria ) for our Missionary Work that made us to leave our Property.
We are currently looking at renting our home to a responsible person/Family who would be in our home while we are away,we want someone who can take very good care of the property in our absence for it to be clean all the time and treat as if it were their own.
We are here in Nigeria and will be here for the next 3years in our new house and also with the keys to our home, we tried earlier to seek the services of an agent before we left, but could not find and we as well do not want our house to be used any how in our absence that is why we took it along with us.
So i hope you would be able to take good care of our home, So if you are willing to rent and care for our home do get back to us stating your rental history and more about you.
We do hope you are okay with the Rent and the Security Deposit. You are advised to go ahead and view the property exterior before getting back to us with the rental application.

The thief will tell you that you can rent his accommodation only if you can prove that you have genuine interest. He will ask you send money by wire transfer (normally Western Union) to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".
Another variation of this scam is that you need to send (by Western Union) money in order that the keys and other documents can be couriered to you
He will ask you to send him the transfer details.
Make no mistake ! Western Union Transfers can be picked up virtually anywhere in the world and with the minimum of identification. They are almost impossible to trace once the money has been collected. You will never get to see the accommodation or your money again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
