rental home scam Craig's List

There was just an attempt to scam me with a rental home in Portland Oregon. The address of the home was 2022 NE Prescott. The ad said that it was available immediately. When I emailed for more information, I received the following reply:

Note:i am not around to show the inside, you can go check out the house and the neighborhood from the outside and get back to me if you really like it, and let me know if you would want me to forward you the rental application form to fill out.

I wrote back and they answered that they would send a package if I would fill out a lease agreement and send it to them by email.

The next email follows:

I have attached to this e-mail the Rental Application for you to complete and send back to me through e-mail.

BELOW ARE CONTENT OF THE PACKAGE YOU WILL RECEIVE:

(1)Payment Receipt for the first month rent
(2)Paper/Permanent house form (Containing your reference details)
(3)The house documentary file.
(4)Full description of the house.
(5)Entrance and the rooms Keys.

These will be delivered to you in your current address so that you can possibly occupy our house as stated. Once again, I am giving you this on trust and do not disappoint me and I promise you that you will love the house as you move into it.

I asked them to call me, which they did from an "unavailable" phone number. I hung up. There is no "US Missionary Organization". Please be aware.
