We have been praying to have somebody like you as a tenant and God has finally answered us. We have decided to accept the payment of the security deposit ($500) so we will be able to send you the keys an document for your move-in. Directly send the security deposit payment to me via Western union Money Transfer. This is important because the Security Deposit will be used for the payment of a postal delivery service to your location through FedEx, as the home delivery details will be forwarded to you in advance. Moreso, the deposit has to be made to secure the house for yourself. So i will tell any other person contacting me that the house is already rented. Please once again we are giving you this based on trust and hope you do not disappoint us.
The postal package will contain the following documents and items;
1) House Entrance keys and the rooms Keys
2) House Rental form(Containing your reference details)
3) The house documentary file
4) Deposit Receipt .
5) Full address and description of the house.
6) Rent Agreement Form.
7) Payment Receipt
The house vital informative papers and keys will be delivered to your present address. I shall be coming in early next year to check on you so that i can know how you are taking care of the house, and if it is okay by me then we can talk about extending the rental terms. Please, once again I am making this rental agreement with you based on trust and hope you do not disappoint us. This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.
Sounds safe. It's not!
At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.
In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
