I bought this apartment for my daughter during her studies in Amsterdam, but now she's back home in United Kingdom permanently, so I'm renting the place for unlimited time. Since my daughter left London, nobody is there to take care about renting it so I will just send you the keys and contract using an agency Rental-sx from London . They will act as a third party in our transaction.
The apartment is exactly like in pictures. The rent for 1 month is 450EUR, including all costs (water, electricity, internet, air conditioning, waste disposal, microwave, refrigerator, washmachine).
I hope it's OK with you, since this is the only reliable option.

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union or MoneyGram to an escrow company with a promise that he will send the keys through a courier company.

Sounds safe. It's not!
These companies do not work this way and the website is a fake!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

Rental-sx AG (www.rental-sx.com which is a fake website - reported) will be our mediator. I can't trust you to simply send the keys, I hope you understand my hesitancy as we just knew each other.
You will need to make a security deposit to this company (one month + one guarantee). Once your deposit has been received by Rental-sx AG, they will deliver the keys/contract. At this point there might be two possible situations:
1. If you like the flat, you can sign the contract (send me one copy) and move-in;
2. Otherwise, Rental-sx AG will fully refund your deposit.
However, you will receive the procedure overview and payment instructions from Rental-sx AG. Using the reference given by the company, you can track your money within their records anytime.
Please send me your name/address and telephone number so I can contact Rental-sx AG and start the procedure. Afterwards, the company should notify you regarding the further steps.
