Subject: Re: $620 / 1br - 887ft² - This gorgeous (1+den) apartment! Beautifully furnished! (toronto/downtown)
Hello!
First of all I would like to introduce myself... My name is Jeff D Adams.
I'm the owner of this apartment unoccupied and you can move in it right
now.
I sent you a few pictures of it and please check the attached file!
Now, I would like to tell you a little bit about my apartment:
The apartment is minutes away from centre, located in the trendy, close to
school, restaurants, transit and shopping. It is very close, in walking
distance to local transport with very quiet neighbors and lovely safe
area.
- there's no problem, there's no other people in the apartment;
- it has just been renovated;
- fully furnished;
- totally finished.
If you have furniture or if you do not want to use my furniture, I have
the
option of sending all my furniture into storage if you want to bring your
own. It comes with a storage unit where you can deposit my furniture.
It is clean, quiet, has all the facilities and the utilities:
- Washing machine;
- Dishwasher;
- Dryer;
- Refrigerator;
- Stove;
- Oven;
- Juice Machine;
- Iron;
- Toaster;
- Coffee Maker;
- Microwave;
- Vacuum cleaner.
Don't miss out on this opportunity!
- the rent for 1 month is $620.00 (for the entire apartment - there's no
deposit).
- the all utilities are included in this price. No extra fees!
- the price will not increase monthly, it will remain the same for the
whole period that the contract will be signed for.
- the lease is flexible, can be month to month, min stay 2 months, max 6
years.
I just need your answer and I will send you more details ASAP.
Respectfully,Jeff D Adams
This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.
Sounds safe. It's not!
At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.
In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
