Thanks for your response and interest in our house.
Our lovely home is still available for lease and we want responsible adults/family that are neat and also have what it takes to take care of our house as if it were theirs. We will be very pleased if we can find the right/potential tenant to rent our home, a person who is a clean & responsible and does not tolerate anything that has to do with dirt. we also would like to know more about you and your family, your renting experience and how long and when you plan moving into our home.
Am a special Adviser on Economic & development matter to the Country Managing Director (CMD) IN Abuja Nigeria, I work for WORLD BANK. I just want you to get notice that the keys are here with me in Abuja; you can only view the house from the outside for now! You can drive by any time. I spent less time in the States; the initial plan was to sale out the House. which I tried, but sometimes the agents inflates the prize and it takes longer to sell so If you drive by the house you may see a sign there, you have nothing to worry about it belongs to our previous agent so you have absolutely nothing to worry about and you don't have to call them because they do not have access to the house anymore, although it was when I knew how long we are going to stay in Abuja that I decided to rent out the house myself.

The thief will tell you that you can rent his accommodation only if you can prove that you have genuine interest. He will ask you send money by wire transfer (normally Western Union) to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".
Another variation of this scam is that you need to send (by Western Union) money in order that the keys and other documents can be couriered to you
He will ask you to send him the transfer details.
Make no mistake ! Western Union Transfers can be picked up virtually anywhere in the world and with the minimum of identification. They are almost impossible to trace once the money has been collected. You will never get to see the accommodation or your money again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
