Subject: Re: $650 Spacious 2 bedroom apartment (ingleside / SFSU / CCSF)

Thanks for showing interest in my apartment, this is available for short and long time rent, Let me introduce myself by saying I am a mechanic and deals with repair and rebuild of vehicles, self employed and the owner of his own company. I just move in few month ago to Manila Philippines to set up a new outlet and continue from there. I resided in the apartment with my family before i relocate to Manila. Am looking for a responsible person who can take care of my apartment like his/her own property, so when ever i come around to check out and see it is looking good.

Address: 278A Granada Ave, San Francisco, CA 94112

This unique 2 bedroom and 2 bathroom apartment available for $650 per month and damages deposit $650 including the utilities which i think is not too much. and i want you to know that am renting out only one room in my two bedroom apartment why the second room will be left vacant in case if i come around. You we have to make a promise to take care of the apartment like your own, open heart, love and clean the surrounding of the home like your own because am putting all my worries on you off concerning the maintained of the apartment. Since am not around due to my work. So i will like you to drive by to the building today to view the exterior check out where is the apartment located and get back to me if it's okay by so we can move forward from there.

Thanks for taking your time to read my mail and hope to hear back from you

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
