I think this a scam

I did a bunch of Internet research and found no hits, but have a feeling it is a new twist to the Nigerian scam.

Thank-you for posting the header sj. I'm sorry you have had your time wasted by the scammer/s. I am no expert on headers but there are several errors contained within the email header that suggests it's not from a legitimate person. As Helen indicated, this being a scam with no doubt.

Where could I look for these errors?

When you see "NNFMP" in a set of headers, you should be very cautious.

NNFMP is a protocol that is usually associated with forged headers. It is most often associated with scammers and spammers. For some reason, a legitimate email will occasionally have this, though it doesn't happen very often. Because of this, you should always consider whether there are additional indications of a scammer in the email. In this case, the story of the owner being away with the keys, combined with the NNFMP, are enough to call it a scam.

The English alone is actually enough to tell me you are dealing with an African, not an American--but if that weren't the case, the NNFMP and the keys combined would still lead to the same conclusion.
