Hello and thank you for your interest in my apartment. So sorry for my late reply...

My name is Jennifer Carlson. I am a Pharmaceutical Biologist, 35 years old currently working in London, England.
I am the apartment owner and the apartment is available for rent right now, you can move in immediately.
The apartment was bought as holiday home because I love the city lifestyle, and the apartment has been a breath of fresh air and relaxation when I am not working. I have decided to rent the apartment because my financial situation is not so good at this time.

The monthly rent for the apartment is US $1100.00. First month's advance, $ 1100.00 deposit.

The apartment is spacious (over 1000 sqft) has 2 large bedrooms, 2 full baths. A living room, there is a dining area, a washer and dryer in the apartment,
lots of closet space, it is on the building's top floors. All the rooms are nicely furnished and the apartment features : stainless steel appliances, hardwood
floors, marble baths, etc.

It is located in the Downtown area of the city, the neighborhood is very safe and quiet. The apartment is very close, in walking distance to local transport,
nice restaurants, bars, entertainment. Just been renovated, totally finished, flexible lease, is nice, clean, quiet, has all the facilities and the utilities
a man needs including Cable TV, 1 Gated Parking Space Included, repairs in the apartment will be resolved by a maintenance company and i will be billed for their
service, there is also a Laundry in the bldg, Air Conditioning, Plasma TV's, Sound System, DVD, High Speed Internet, workout facility, well behaved pets are allowed.
The rent is for the whole apartment NOT just a shared room. This is not a sublease, etc. The monthly rent is not negotiable, if you can pay the 3 months in advance
it will be considered as 4 month's rent. The monthly rent includes all utilities and amenities fees.

Because I am unable to show you the apartment in person I decided that it's better for both of us to use a multinational renting service, provided by Yahoo Real-Estate. They have a big experience in such transactions closed over the Internet and their services are the most recommended for such transactions ( they offer their services all over US and Europe, and they are recommended by most Realtor companies to their customers).
They will hold the deposit locked, unavailable to me so you can access the apartment and review the lease. If you want to rent the apartment
you will have to contact Yahoo! Real Estate ( http://realestate.yahoo.com ) to relase the deposit to me, otherwise they will refund you the deposit the same day the keys and lease are returned.

Let me know if you have received the photos of the apartment bellow.

I hope you are a serious person. I am looking for someone serious and responsible, please tell tell me about yourself, about the people who will be living in the
apartment and a little about your credit.

Thank you!

Sincerely,

Jennifer Carlson.

PS: Due to some fake automated inquiries about my apartment, I would like - if you won't mind - to specify the city of my apartment, to be sure that I am not talking to myself :) Thank you for understanding!

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union or MoneyGram to an escrow company with a promise that he will send the keys through a courier company.

Sounds safe. It's not!
These companies do not work this way.

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
