Me and My fiance just got the exact same emails. We even sent them pictures of ourselves and pets. We got so excited because obviously it was too good to be true. When my fiance told his grandmother she right away knew it was a scam. She works for the Boise police department and said that these kind of things get reported all the time. Of course I didn't want to hear that so I ignored it, but the more I thought about it the more it made me wonder. So right away I googled FAMILY LIFE AND HIV EDUCATION AND THE HIV PREVENTION FOR RURAL YOUTH PROGRAM and the first thing that popped up was this website. My heart dropped and I clicked on it and without a doubt everything in the emails that were on here were what they said to us. Pretty much word for word. It just breaks my heart that someone so sick could do that to people. We're just so lucky that we didn't send them the money. We've learned our lesson and will definitely never take a house over an email again. I hope other people don't fall for this!
Here are the emails that were sent and recieved:

Thanks for getting back to me. I just wanted to let you know that we have decided to let you live in our house. As we have found your application very satisfactory and acceptable by my family..So we would want you to go through this email and get back to us on what you feel so we could proceed in renting the house to you.We would like to send the following documents to you via FedEx next day delivery to the address you sent to us...
Here are the contents of the document that needs to be sent.
1) Entrance and the rooms Keys
2) Paper/Permanent house form
3) The house documentary file.
4) Full Description of the house
5) Payment Receipt
6) Signed Lease Agreement Form you are supposed to also sign and get it sent back to me.
The tracking number will be sent to you so that you can possibly occupy our house.Please once again, we are giving you this based on trust so please do not disappoint us and i promise you that, you will love the house. We are with the under listed documents here with us and you will need to make Payment for the deposit and first month rent ($1300 USD) to enable shipment of the Keys and documents to the address you have provided to us, after which you could move in at your convenience. The rent only starts counting after you move in, Please note that the deposit made is fully refundable should in case you finally gain entrance into the house after receiving the keys and documents and feel unsatisfied or uncomfortable with the interior, but i am giving you a benefit of doubt that you will love everything about this lovely home.The deposit will be refunded in less than 24 hours after you request for it.

I say this because my best friend from high school and his family moved to South Africa for three years, because his parents were called to be mission presidents. He returned our senior year and spent some time home here in Boise to later find out that he is to return back to Africa to serve a mission himself in Zambia. His parents were also the head of a prominent HIV AIDS prevention program that is still undergoing in the Johannesburg and Durban area. My fiance and I have been searching craigslist for awhile hoping to find something that fits our needs, and nothing has even come close to this offer. I am currently working as Technical Support Agent for Verizon Wireless at WDS Global, and my fiance is a sales associate at a store named Champs in the mall. We are both also currently enrolled partime in school, she at BSU, and I at CWI. My family owns a local general contracting business, and have all assured us in the event of maintenance issues that may arise at the home they are willing to help us take care of it immediately. Looking at our tuition costs and salary, i would feel comfortable to committing to a May 15th move in date. We plan to stay in the house for at least two years while we attend school, but will be ready to move at any time should the event of your home coming takes place. I do promise you the property will be left in as every bit as good as shape as we found it. I noticed that you said the home is pet friendly, and we would like to take our well behaved, house broken family Golden Retriever with us, but understand if this may be a problem. I wish you all the best with your work in Africa , and if we are given the opportunity I assure you the peace of mind that your property is being taken care of in Boise. Yes the house is still available for rent and we are looking for a responsible person/family to occupy and maintain the house now that we are not around. Myself and wife just traveled to West Africa for a program called FAMILY LIFE AND HIV EDUCATION AND THE HIV PREVENTION FOR RURAL YOUTH PROGRAM, the program is taking place in three major countries in Europe, Africa, UK . We will be away for 2 to 3 years or more that is why I have made up my mind to put up my house for rent to whom ever that will take good care of it. However, my initial plan was to sell the house but it was not successful because the Realtor raised the price which made it difficult for me to sell before leaving the States so never mind if you see the for sale sign infront of the house, It has already been taken off the market as for sale so there is no need to contact any Realtor.
