Thank you for showing interest. The property is still available for the date chosen. I am sure that this is one of the best property you can get around at this reasonable rate but i cannot guarantee the hold of the property until you book for it. You are required to pay the full rental fee and a refundable security fee of $200 to enable me hold the property for you as there is rush for the property at this time. I will issue you a receipt confirming your payment. You get to notify me of the exact time you will be arriving in to make arrangement to pick you up. There is no extra charges for this also. This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

The booking terms and agreement form has been email to you. Proceed to any nearest Money gram location nearest to you. The money should be sent using the money in minute mode so that the owner can be able to pick it up at any nearest moneygram location. Here is the owner's information to send the Payment($360) to.

Thomas Nelson.
1045 Cleveland Ave S, Saint Paul MN 55116

Once the Payment has been transferred, you will be given 8 Digit reference number. you will then get back to me with it together with your full senders name and address. Also get back to me with the filled booking terms and agreement form so i could finalize your reservation.

Thanks

This person is still actively attempting the exact same scam. I found a listing on craigslist San Luis Obispo for a vacation rental in Avila Beach -nearly exact same details. It sounded too good to be true ( 2 bd, 2 bath, $150/night, accepts pets, no cleaning fee, available this weekend!) Almost identical details to your listing, and the poster, [email protected] - Paul Maslog - eventually sent a Western Union # for one night plus a $200 security deposit. He also sent a badly worded rental contract which didn't make much sense. When I asked for a local contact number, he sent the name of the owner, Thomas Nelson, 1059 California Ave. W, Saint Paul, MN 55117.

Beware -- this is a total scam. The photos of the "rental" do not even match the photos on legitimate real estate websites for the property offered.
