Actually I sided in the apartment with my family, such as my wife and my only daughter before and presently we had packed due to my transfer from my working place and now situated in Virginia USA and presently my apartment is still available for rent for $600 per month including the utilities like hydro, washer, Kitchen Electric hob/oven,Kitchen utensils ,Microwave ,Washer &dryer ,Refrigerator & freezer ,Toaster ,Electric kettle ,Iron and ironing board ,TV & DVD ,Telephone and Fast internet access, Secured free parking and it unfurnished.

More so Now, I went for a church crusade in New York and I will like you to get in touch with my wife for more discussion as she is with the keys and the document to the house. Please i want you to note that, I am a kind and honest man and also i spent a lot on my property that i want to give you for rent,so i will solicit for your absolute maintenance of this apartment and want you to treat it as your own,is that taken,it is not the money the main problem but we want you to keep it tidy all the time so that i will be glad to see it neat when i came for a check up.i do that once in a while.I also want you to let me have trust in you as i always stand on my word.

This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.

Sounds safe. It's not!

At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.

In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.

If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

HOW DO WE GET OUR MONEY BACK?????????

Unfortunately, if you sent it by WU or Moneygram and it has been picked up, you won't get it back. The thieves have been hiding behind completely fake information. No names, addresses, or other information they have given you is real. They have grabbed the cash and disappeared--if a mule is involved, he/she would have immediately forwarded it on to the scammers.

If you sent it by bank transfer, there is a slim chance that your bank will be able to get it back--but it is slim, because you actually authorized the transfer--insurance does not cover transfers authorized by the account owner, even if they were fraudulent.

Just want everyone to know that I was just scammed by this very person. Who now goes by female, a wife of Newman Sherry, named Sarah Sherry.

Ive contacted the FBI, PLUS filed a complaint to http://www.IC3.gov I just finished emailing her...she said I had the apartment! here are HER/HIS words:

So pls get back to me on how you could take care of our apartment or perhaps experience you have in renting apartments ,Hope you are okay with the price of $1100 per month with utilities like :- Stove -Electric ,Refrigerator, Microwave ,Ice Maker ,Full Kitchen ,Coffee maker ,TV/VCR, Stereo,Linens provided ,CD layer ,Cable/Satellite TV, Double/twin zip & link beds,Fitted wardrobe, Kitchen Electric hob/oven,Kitchen utensils ,Microwave ,Washer & dryer,Refrigerator & freezer ,Toaster, Electric kettle ,Iron and ironing board, WIFI High Speed Internet and Free Secured parking.

The tracking number will be sent to you once the payment as been confirmed. Please once again, I'm giving you this on trust and do not disappoint me, and I promise you that you will love the apartment. Yes rent includes cable/internet plus electricity and other as i have paid for 1year before i left for Virginia. I am with the documents here with me, if you can make payments today you will get the keys and necessary documents by tomorrow afternoon.

So i am with the below document here with me and i will be shipping them to you via FedEx.

I have only one concern, as you know Craigslist advices that one do not send money transfers without first verifying transactions.

Since we haven't actually spoken on the phone or met yet, I woulod much rather prefer that you Fed Ex the keys to one ofd the many many church members you must have served while here in San Francisco, CA. This way I can meet with them physically and do an even exchange of your keys and documents and leese and I can either give them a cashiers check or moeny order payable to you.

THIS would be the most ideal and safest way for us both to secure our final transaction. As I had something similar happen to my brother-in-law where he sent money and never heard from the people again. Im sure that this is not the case with you, but the Scriptures teach us that one must be meek as a dove but wise as a serpent!

Also, which church did your husband Pastored or served? I'm familiar with a lot of the churches in the area

There was no one we could entrust the keys and documents with to help us get a tenant to occupy our apartment which is why we decided to rent it ourself, to get a suitable tenant that will take good care of our apartment as we have once used an agent which left our apartment in a mess.

I have attached a copy of my husband's ID to this email so you can be rest assured that once we receive payment we would go ahead and have the documents/keys sent to you.

We prefer that the scammer NOT be alerted to the listings here. Some come her and are educated in how to trick their victims.

Scammers have NO shame. They believe they either deserve what they take from others, or that they are actually working a real job.

It is BEST to just drop out of their life. They know that they are pretty much untouchable by law enforcement. They are in a country half way around the world. They use mules or fake names to receive the money, so they are well away from the crime.
