Thanks for your response regarding the house for rent ,My name is Mrs Keith , my husband owned the house you' re interested to rent, we are given it out for rent but we are looking for are responsible trustworthy person that will take very good care of the house properties for us. It was due to my husband transfer that makes us leave the house, as we are not after the money for the rent but we wanted it to be well clean and tidy all the time, and interested person that will rent it will promise us he/she would take care of the house as if it was his/her own!
We are on a missionary mission to west Africa we will be away for 8yrs So, for now i am here in our new house in West Africa, Nigeria with the keys/documents of the house we' re renting out.We try to look for a trustworthy agent that we can give the keys/documents before we left but could not see, and we don' t want our house to be used any how while we are here, Because our former agent try to sale our house, at the same time he always rent it out to tenants with different price we told him to rent it out, that is why we took the keys and documents with us the last we time we went home! so i hope you will promise us to take very good care of the house for us? This person asks for a deposit payment via Western Union, MoneyGram or bank transfer with a promise that you can have the keys to a property that does not belong to him.
Sounds safe. It's not!
At other times, he will ask for proof that you are able to pay the deposit and rent due to a string of time wasters.
This proof is in the form of a Western Union or MoneyGram payment to a lawyer,a friend or family member.
In either case, if payment is made and you give this person the details, they will collect the money.
You will not hear from them again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Craigslist, Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment before viewing, then it will also be a scam.
