Hello Michelle,
Thanks for the reply. Find attached the last page of the contract signed by me. I do appreciate everything and would be glad to put you through the process of the money transfer.
All you need do now is go to any nearest western union outlet close to you and make the payment of the refundable deposit and first month rental fee both totaled at 700GBP via western union to my name and address below.
Name: Supita Tanasawet.
Address: 64 Regent Street, Cambridge, CB2 1AB,United Kingdom.
I converted the 700GBP to Euro using an exchange site(www.xe.com). As at today's rate 700GBP is 867Euro. so kindly go to any nearest western union outlet with the 867Euro and make the transfer.
Western union outlets can be found in post offices, banks and local stores near you.
It would be very easy for me to receive the payment here as there is a western union outlet which is just 5 mins walk from where i stay here. You would be charged for this transfer so kindly deduct the transfer charges from the money you would be sending to make everything easier for you.
After the transfer you would be given some information which you would need send to me so i can confirm the transfer such as the senders info, the mtcn code(10 digit money transfer control number) and the total amount sent in GBP and a receipt would be issued for the payment.
Hope to read from you soon.
Regards,
Miss Supita.
The thief will tell you that you can rent his accommodation only if you can prove that you have genuine interest. He will ask you send money by wire transfer (normally Western Union) to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".
Another variation of this scam is that you need to send (by Western Union) money in order that the keys and other documents can be couriered to you
He will ask you to send him the transfer details.
Make no mistake ! Western Union Transfers can be picked up virtually anywhere in the world and with the minimum of identification. They are almost impossible to trace once the money has been collected. You will never get to see the accommodation or your money again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
