Hi Michelle
I am in my mid 20s, female and work for a company called Rare Recruitment on full time contract and other firms in Europe as human resource consultant where i design RSP (Recruitment, Selection and Placement) for the recruitment purpose, One of my clients is The Economist Group. I graduated from the University of Sussex in 2009 with a degree in Human Resource Management. I have acquired eight professional certificates in my field.
I did a homestay with a family in Amsterdam last year for a month when I was to design a training and development
programme for a firm and loved it. We got on very well and are still in touch now. I love sport and reading. I have 3 siblings so am used to sharing! But they are based in Essex with my parents.
I have been to Paris severally with my father, until now i decided to settle in the beautiful city, it has been an exciting experience so far 9 months plus though.
I work some evenings from my room as I will need to prepare work to send back to my company in the UK weekly, and do other consultancy job that comes my way.
I am used to living with people, i have travelled to many countries within Europe and North America, especially USA (I love NYC) and Canada. I prefered to stay in Hostel or shared flats throughout my stay or visiting other countries, so you do not have any problem coping with me. I used to live with my boyfriend here until we broke up last April so he had to return to England.
About the rooms available, there are two rooms i do not even use and they seem abandoned. I have discussed with my father to let me sub-let them, so i do not feel alone in here since my boy friend left.
Policy on visitors? Visitors are allowed but please No Indoor-Party roommate
My father actually bought this flat from the owner. My brother do come visiting me once in 3 months, he sure will be staying in my room everybody has its privacy since we do not have to share bathroom except the living room and kitchen. I would like to rent it on a month to month and long term basis, students and professionals, different cultures and religion are welcome. I do not discriminate.
I can send photos of the flat, the room and the bathroom.
Looking forward to know about your too as a starting point.
Jens
The thief will tell you that you can rent his accommodation only if you can prove that you have genuine interest. He will ask you send money by wire transfer (normally Western Union) to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".
Another variation of this scam is that you need to send (by Western Union or similar money transfer services) money in order that the keys and other documents can be couriered to you
He will ask you to send him the transfer details.
Make no mistake ! These money transfers can be picked up virtually anywhere in the world and with the minimum of identification. They are almost impossible to trace once the money has been collected. You will never get to see the accommodation or your money again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union, or similar money transfer services before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
