The thief will tell you that you can rent his accommodation only if you can prove that you have genuine interest. He will ask you send money by wire transfer (normally Western Union) to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".
Another variation of this scam is that you need to send (by Western Union) money in order that the keys and other documents can be couriered to you
He will ask you to send him the transfer details.
Make no mistake ! Western Union Transfers can be picked up virtually anywhere in the world and with the minimum of identification. They are almost impossible to trace once the money has been collected. You will never get to see the accommodation or your money again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.

Thanks for your reply and sorry for the late reply. Actually, I lived at home with my family but now we have moved because of the relocation of my job, which is now in Spain. My flat is still available and we can still squeeze the time to see if we agree on a date and time to perfect meeting. I want a clean and fair person in my house and I'm not asking for an advance payment until you see and like the flat,but what I'm asking is for sure that you're going to pay me and show me evidence that you have the money at hand when I come around because I have heard on several occasions when some people said they are interested and after seeing it,they love it but not ready at that particular time,or too maybe they are just to many to stay in the apartment,someone have told me that she will pay later once she get a good job and all these happens to be a waste of time and out of work for me.For now, I need your suggestion, because i cannot pay to waste time.

I will be needing a proof to show me you have the rent fee before i could go get my flight ticket because i traveled twice last week to show the flat to some couples but they don't have the funds at hand to pay and turn out telling me stories that they will pay me when they got a good job. This is so stressful and frustrating.i don't like jobless and time wasters and I don't want to risk or waste my time coming down anymore if i don't have a proof from who ever is interested in my flat before getting my ticket to fly down,not talking about upfront payment before viewing the apartment.
