Room for Rent and other rental scams

I received this email in response to a reply on a craigs list listing for house for rent. We did not get an immediate response so we got in touch with the Real estate company handling the sale of house. Found it was truly for rent but not for that cheap.
I tracked to IP address of the computer that sent the email to Sunnyvale, CA
They used the true owner of the houses name in the email address.
I started questioning the ad after the delay in response and as well as the scammers inability to describe the surrounding area. Guess its kind of hard to do when you are on the opposite coast.

Thanks for your interest and inquiries about my house,Yes the house is still available for rent and we are looking for a responsible person/family to occupy and maintain the house.

Sunnyvale is actually yahoo's servers--so it isn't the true location of the person. It does mean there is a good chance the headers were forged, though.

But this is definitely a typical rental scam either way.
