So we decided to rent the house for investment purposes, we would have given the agent this job also but the truth of the matter is that the agent would want to handle it professionally and the occupant may not be able to reason along with him. If you notice you will discover that the price we are offering is far below standard price, this is enough for you to know that we are not after the rental fee but the absolute care of the property. we decided to rent it out of our love for humanity, that is why the house is very affordable because i believe everybody deserves a home both the rich and the poor.
We will be serving for a long term and now our home is locked up and we have found a new home here which we will be staying for a very long term which might last 5 years in (West Africa,Nigeria) and presently our lovely home is still available for rent for ($800) monthly rent and ($400) for deposit which includes the utilities More so,Now that we on Retreat program over here. Please I want you to note that all we will want is a very honest and neat person,so i will solicit for your absolute understanding and maintenance of this home and want you to treat it as your own, So Please feel free to drive by the house to know if the exterior match your needs. The thief will tell you that you can rent his accommodation only if you can prove that you have genuine interest. He will ask you send money by wire transfer (normally Western Union) to yourself or a member of the family to show that you have sufficient finances and that you are not a "time waster".
Another variation of this scam is that you need to send (by Western Union) money in order that the keys and other documents can be couriered to you
He will ask you to send him the transfer details.
Make no mistake ! Western Union Transfers can be picked up virtually anywhere in the world and with the minimum of identification. They are almost impossible to trace once the money has been collected. You will never get to see the accommodation or your money again.
If you are reading this because you are looking for property to rent, and you are in contact with this thief you are probably searching Gumtree or similar listing sites. If you receive any requests from 'Landlords' asking for some kind of payment by Western Union before viewing, then it will also be a scam. Please forward the mail to me at the address in my signature line and I will investigate and list them if necessary.
